Good morning, my name is Rodny Sherman-Garcia. Thank you for taking the time to meet with me today not only to help me with my school research but also for the opportunity to learn more about the work you do.

Good Morning and Welcome Distinguished Guests, family, and friends of our Graduating Class, it is an honor to have you join us this morning for such a wonderful occasion.

Asking to write about oneself has a far greater challenge than writing about another, due to the fact of having too much information on the topic it is difficult to find a starting point. Therefore to tackle this task I questioned those closest friends to list my contributing qualities. Overwhelmingly my peers considered me as an extremely caring individual who is always willing to help. When recollecting my past experiences, numerous moments of enjoyable times and cherished adventures came to mind; this is one attribute I would love to contribute to the Florida Gulf Coast University community, the love to completely cherish life is what I passionately want to share. Good evening. I would like to begin by welcoming each and every one of you to this joyous and stressful occasion.

I was born _name__ on _date__ in _place__. I am a son, brother, uncle, nephew, cousin, and friend. I was desperately shy as a small child, but grew out of it. My teen years were happy times sports, friends, summers spent in __place_. It all helped shape me into who I am today. My interests are many. I have always enjoyed reading about history and follow the history channel faithfully. I love music. It's been a part of my life for as long as I can remember. I find it calming when life gets rocky.

Now that I am reaching the end of my undergraduate career I feel like it’s fit to reflect on how far i’ve come and some high and low points during this time of my life. Some people may say that these four years of college are the most wonderful times of their life, and for the most part that is correct. But there is this whole other part of college life that is super stressful and even scary. During this paper I will address my personal development and how certain experiences played a role in those developments. Even though I feel like i’ve grown a lot and have developed and learned new things, I have run into some issues. Those issues being family/culture, social and emotional growth, intellectual growth, values and beliefs, citizen and community member.
