I must preface the following content by stating that such an approach to HR is quite uncommon for me, but as will be enumerated below, the reasons for my concerns regarding my immediate supervisor, Antrochelle, are glaring and in need immediate attention.
First and foremost, I would like to address her verbal comments. They are often berating in nature, directed at me and other coworkers, and perhaps most alarming is the fact that they are so pervasive and frequent, the need for actual calendar dates is irrelevant. Examples of such behavior include criticism dispensed during actual interaction with customers. One such instance occurred approximately one month ago during which I was closing a sale with a long-time customer. I was engaged in a conversation with her regarding a surgery she had recently, and I wanted to know how she was doing postop. Antrochelle proceeded to interrupt this chat very abruptly and with a curt tone stating that I needed to promptly clock out as I should not be talking with customers during business hours. The customer was horrified by this exchange to such an extent that she apologized profusely for getting me into trouble. I assured her that wasn’t the case and that her well-being as a loyal and committed customer was always paramount. Please note that this is by no means an isolated event.
