Having a keen interest in science subjects, I am very much motivated to pursue my higher studies in Science and eventually would like to pursue a career in Medicine in order to serve the community. It is with the encouragement of my excellent teachers at James Ruse, I have achieved a few awards on the way as I prepare to face my HSC exams. Here are a few of these stepping stones:

As a student, I strive for excellence in my academics and school involvement to pursue a career in the medical field. By taking rigorous high school classes such as IB, and honor courses,
I plan to continue the mission of the National Health Service Corp (NHSC) by serving those most in need. Ever since I was in nursing school, I have had an interest in helping those most in need. I worked in a hospital setting after graduation and found myself being pulled to find help for patients that did not have access to basic needs. Soon after, I worked in home health. This was an opportunity to see patients in their home and I found out quickly who the most vulnerable of our patients were. I loved being able to assist my patients in finding resources to pay for medications, wheelchair ramps, and even heat during the cold months. A couple of jobs later, I found out there was a medical ministry in my community and decided to volunteer.
Studying Laws combined will give me the skills applicable to a variety of traditional and nontraditional law careers to help others. I have a particular interest in the way that legislation can have profound impacts on others lives and the way litigation is an important means of readdressing issues and achieving justice for the individual and society.
The medical field is a career path that brings about many options and opportunities of great value. The noble idea of being a doctor tends to cloud the diligent studying and precise training that is actually required for this career. I have wanted to become a doctor since a very young age, and now that the opportunity is here for the taking, I have fully researched what it takes to succeed in this profession and various specialties of the practice. The road to a medical degree is one filled with thousands of notes, years of schooling, and many stressful nights, but the reward is one incomparable to any other. Saving people’s lives on a day-to-day basis has been one of my dreams for as long as I can remember, so the rigorous curriculum
As the coming years approach, I want my future to hold both the passion to explore new opportunities and the strength to overcome new challenges. With the experiences of my high school career, I aspire to take all the things I learned to transition into a college environment where my ideas can be challenged and shared. Where I can learn from others; where I can seek the opportunity to make a direct impact towards saving lives. I believe I can do great things. Through tenacity I will not only be gratified in becoming a doctor, but also be able to share my compassion for others through
Throughout the year, I have developed vital skills such as teamwork, communication, dedication and motivation through volunteering and other work I have completed. I am truly inspired by medicine and want to improve people’s lives. I believe that I possess the qualities required to become a suitable doctor with passion, dedication and enthusiasm. My work experiences have given me the confidence to allow me to view being a doctor as a permanent profession and I look forward to the intriguing challenges I will face in the upcoming years as a medical student and as a
To prepare for attending such a prestigious all-English institution like UIC, I have improved my English ability by taking challenging English classes like AP English Language and Humanities literature AC, in addition to consistently reading classic English literatures. These activities have enhanced my English writing abilities, and helped me getting excellent scores on standardized tests. Furthermore, because I believe that a “good” scientist must have a deep understanding of humanity, I have put extra effort into studying my humanities courses, which covered major works of art, music, literature, and political philosophers central to Western Civilization. I hope to continue my study of humanities in UIC’s well-established common curriculum,
I wish to further my education because I believe that learning should be a continuous process.I also believe that my personal assets and the skills that I have acquired will surely aid me in fulfilling your requirements. I know that Herzing University can contribute to assist me to that next step in my career. Being a student at Herzing will allow me to go at a pace where I can exhibit my full potential. Previous in undergrad, I did have trouble demstrateing my full potential, however, this will not be the case. I plan to use all the resources that are avialble, whether its tutoring or extra credit. I have even recuited several managers at my workplace for assistants with my schoolwork. Striving for a better academic record is one of my
I, Gabriella Fontinelle, was born and raised on the wonderful island of St. Lucia, Helen of the West, where I attained my best attributes of being diligent, generous, dynamic and confident. I have always dreamed of one day becoming a medical doctor and I aim greatly to achieve such. The memories of growing up in St.Lucia are indeed some of my best, from primary school recess times to secondary school sports activities. After successfully completing primary school, I was accepted into one of the St.Lucia’s four Comprehensive Secondary Schools (Vieux- Fort Comprehensive Secondary School). After completing three years at the Secondary, I choose to continue my two remaining years completing the science stream. The science stream consisted of subjects
In the coming years, my vision is to attain a Bachelor of Commerce degree from the Haskayne School of Business (HSB). I aim to become a reliable performer who provides excellence, integrity, and diligence to his work.
With my training within the army, I have gained the superficial knowledge into the world of medical science. Through hands-on experiences, there are many skills that can only be taught first-hand. At first glance, I was unsure of my limitations. However, through trials and corrections I have gained vast knowledge and confidence. As I proceeded, I’ve gained the respect and hope of life. I have come to conclude that I prefer to proceed within the medical field. As I worked along Physicians and Medicals Assistants, I’ve grown to become accommodated with the medical field. Therefore, I wish to advance and discover, as well as to further educate, myself in the medical field.
I have obtained a solid foundation in my core science classes and have demonstrated strong academic achievement. I plan on attending medical school in the future and want to put an emphasis on research and surgery. I have interned for Dr. Hoffman, an OB/GYN, and volunteered at a hospital in India. By working in holistic environments, I have learned Naturopathic and Ayurvedic methods of preventing illnesses, which made me realize the importance of preventing an illness instead of waiting till you need a cure.
Considering the extent to which I am actively interested in the constantly evolving nature of Medicine and scientific advancements that have revolutionised the medical profession - to me, Medicine seemed like the most fitting and captivating career. I have seen critical illness within my family recently, feeling helpless at the time. Seeing the work of not only Doctors but also other NHS professionals who saved the life of one of the most important people in my life - inspired me to pursue a career in medicine. This paired with an extensive interest in the scientific intricacies particularly of the human body has lead to me developing a deeper ambition for Medicine. Whether it is in clinical work, research, surgery or teaching, to be involved
My inspiration for pursuing a Masters of Human Resources and Labor Relations partly comes from an experience I had a few months ago. I have always been sympathetic to my coworkers’ problems, but this incident opened my eyes to a fresh level of understanding towards those who work with and for me. It happened one Wednesday while I was volunteering at a local non-profit that provides financial aid and food for homeless or low-income families. When I entered the non-profit, I saw something I did not expect. An associate from my team, Angela, was requesting financial aid from one of the non-profit workers. At first, I questioned whether or not it was my associate, but after checking with the non-profit director, I confirmed it was indeed her. I never questioned how hard my associates work; being call center employees, their performance is constantly measured by metrics and their results show proof of this. Yet, despite the fact that my fellow employees are producing more than ever, their wages are lower than mine were when I was in their position. Seeing this first-hand shook me to the core. Such experiences have shaped me into who I am and the goals I desire to accomplish. Specifically, I want to build a career within HR to find ways to advance the workplace for the mutual benefit of employees and company alike.
Her words and idea of entering medicine only became more enticing as I grew older. I found myself making decisions in high school that revolved around improving my education in human sciences, such as taking biology and anatomy classes, and participating in the medical-related portion of the MESA competition. I immersed myself in
