Often times while working in the critical care unit I am faced with similar situations like the example in Exercise 1-1. Often times delegate to families the various roles as part of an overall collaborative team. At first I take the leader role; the leader will assess the situation and create a plan to implement for others to follow with little to no harm or risk (Yoder-Wise, 2014). It is during this time that I locate the person in the family and “assign” a person of contact/point of contact for the family. All calls made to the unit in regards to the patient’s condition are deferred to the point of contact person. In the manager role; which is defined as a role in which a process of following a set of practices and procedures have been tested with proven outcomes that satisfy everyone’s needs (Yoder-Wise, 2014). …show more content…
The follower works with both the leader and manager by helping to contribute, identify, complete tasks and providing feedback; taking on a very collaborative role (Yoder-Wise, 2014). As the nurse in this situation, I feel I have already successfully delegated the roles to the family members and now in the position to lead and manage the communication situation from the background and can now assist and follow the situation, by providing updates and helping to keep them informed and providing family concerns and communication back to the treating

Note: I know I have done bad things in the past, I want to say sorry for that, I know that was very immature of me to do. Let's start.
In the Orlando, Florida area this area is always changing and will always change due to the fact that it’s the tourist capital of the world. This won’t change anytime soon, because we see the amount of people that coming to visit the area have keep rising. This year the Orlando area will see over a million people come into the area. With some many people the fire department always has to change with it. Orange County is one of the fastest growing departments in the state. This is because so many people are moving in to the area and where places use to be nothing but farming area is now we are seeing neighborhoods been built.
This activity has allowed me as well to understand the security levels that KPMG is using in order to prevent all kind of misunderstanding or errors than can bring in some cases but consequences to the workflow of the department or the individual.

For this assignment I reached out to an instructor at Lakeland College who is also a professional school counselor named Wendy Falk. Wendy was happy to complete an interview with me and provided information about herself including what assessments she uses, her theoretical orientation, and why these assessments are used. Wendy also spoke about her school counseling position, a difficult case she was presented with, and her opinion on the use of assessments. Additional research was conducted to learn more about the assessments she discussed.
During this unit I learned how to share a project with fellow classmates to allow them to work on it at the same time as me. I also learned the three different ways to allow this, by either sharing it with them, sending them an invite or link through via email, or by copying the link and sending it them. When I used Google Docs in high school we just shared it with one another and could see when we were all on. We also used it when we presented, but I did not know with One Drive you could present online! I think that is one of the coolest tools ever! Not only can you work on these projects and documents together, but you can communicate with each other as well. I was also unaware of how many gigs of storage you get when you sign up for programs
My project will be dedicated in saving the turtles. I will be participating at the NOAA program. This project will mostly be learning more about turtles. Also, protecting their wildlife habitat. One of the assignment I will be given at the program is to take care of the turtle’s nesting grounds. I’ll volunteer my time and be able to have a close-up experience with these creatures. This job will require for me to be there day and night since it’s nesting season.

Part of the caregiver or nurse's duty is to provide emotional support and understanding to the patient. Swanson (1993) proclaims that being with assures patients that their reality is appreciated and that the nurse is ready and willing to provide emotional support. Emotional support can come in many forms, such as providing a shoulder to lean on and listening attentively. By using the process of 'being with', nursing professionals can convey messages such as, "you are not alone, what happens to you matters and that we are here for you" (Swanson, 1993). Conveying these messages can help with the healing process and overall well-being of the patient by decreasing anxiety and providing the patient with a caring relationship when family support is unavailable.
