After winning junior tournaments I wanted more and therefore; I challenged myself to the next level. I remember having a chat with my dad, he was giving me a father to son chat about life and what is best to focus on whether academic studies or sport? As he was concerned because I was spending more time playing sports than doing school work. He said life of sport is hard but, I reassured him that everything will be fine. I knew I had a mind set and ability not to give up because my strength lies on mental toughness and my settling for second best wasn’t /is not satisfying outcome. Just before I turned 18 years old, I was playing in the senior league and representing my country in international tournaments. At this point, I was more playing

Home maintenance has long been a foe for homeowners. Unfortunately, if homeowners fail to accomplish key maintenance tasks their home and bank accounts will suffer (Gromicko & Tarasenko, 2013). The cause of this is a large problem that needs to be corrected. To aid homeowners in accomplishing the required maintenance tasks, as well as motivated them, a Home Maintenance program has been developed.

As for my internship my job title was a flight following analyst. My goal with the company was to create a dashboard out of the 2014-2015 fiscal year flight data. My typical day would consist of around a 1 hour and 20 minute commute one way. The internship was located at the Tobias Bolanos International Airport. That is where the headquarters, and all the offices were located. However all the flights flew out of the Juan Santamaria International Airport.

I choose USAA as my company because I’ve been serving in the military the past 26 years. The company is ran prominently by ex-service members that provide a vast amount of financial products and services to include auto loans, insurances, and investment services to name a few. It has been a pleasant experience anytime I’ve needed to utilize their services and there customer support teams are top notch.
Please be advised that Michael Cruz was enrolled as a 1st grade student at Oilton Elementary School on August 21, 2014. Michael performed exceptionally well throughout the school year academically. On March 9, 2015, the academic team including the building-level teacher, classroom teachers, and parents met to discuss Michael’s academic abilities and the possibility of promoting Michael into the 2nd grade. The academic team considered Michael’s academic abilities and social maturity and determined it was in Michael’s best interest to place him into the 2nd grade. It was agreed upon that the academic team would monitor Michael’s progress and consider academic placement at the conclusion of the 2014-2015 academic year.
Dad would like for him to continue to make academic progress. Mom would like for him to get more help with reading and math since he continues to struggle in both areas.
For the past two years I’ve been working for a company where transportation has a big impact on the success of my company. Having to solve problems with the transportation of the materials in the company, has helped me find a new passion for the transportation industry. My abilities allow me to simplify a problem, so I can come up with an easy solution. It is essential to have a friendly and understanding personality, when working in this industry. People with transportation issues are looking for individuals to listen to their problem, in hopes they can find a simply solution that keeps them still of schedule. For me working in the transportation industry, the value of teamwork is at the top. Being able to come together with an other coworker, to solve a problem is what builds company morale.
In this activity we were given three separate tasks based on one theme. The first activity we were given was to form five questions that we could ask a specific person that we knew. The questions had to be based on a journey that a specific person has either been on or had been taken part in. Once we had formed these questions our second task we had to complete was to interview the specific person that you based your questions on. We had to ask the questions that we created to them and then we had to record their answers. Our third and final activity we had to complete was to turn the interview and answers that we were given into a story based on our subjects journey. We had to change the interview into a story which meant that we had to change the interview into past tense. We also had to put the interview together into sentences rather than questions and answers.
They answered, Because we won't be with him anymore and he might suffer when he dies.
My fourth grade class has participated in a service-learning project for the past eight years. Before the Christmas season, we read several books about giving, including a children’s version of “The Gift of the Magi”. Then we discuss how the money that parents send for the students’ Christmas five dollar gift exchange could be used for something else. The children vote whether or not they want to keep the normal gift exchange or donate the money to another cause (every year the students have chosen to donate their gift money to others). Then the students brainstorm organizations or ideas for the money. After the list is narrowed down to five ideas, the children are broken into groups and given one of the organizations to research, and then they write a persuasive report to present to the class. After the students have heard the persuasive reports, a final vote is taken to choose the organization. Next, the students are responsible for writing a letter home to their parents explaining why they have chosen to donate their gift exchange money to the charity or organization. We have sent care packages to overseas soldiers, bought goodie bags for nursing home patients, and sent money to Heifer
This is my fourth semester attending Lamar Institute of Technology. The thing that seemed to be most difficult was that most students are not offered outside opinions on teachers and the classes offered. It seems like a challenge due to the fact that as students he or she does not know what he or she are getting into.
I played from buddy ball to high school which is when I was 10 to 18.
In the lesbian, bi-sexual, gay and transgender (LGBT) community affirmative action should also obtain continued changes. Brandi Bower, longtime Hastings resident and LGBT advocate notes some of the changes that are needed, starting with Nebraska Legislative Bill 568 (LB 586).
