Oak Hill Christian Center is hosting a human Foosball tournament over labor day weekend. Its an all day elimination tournament from 8a.m.- 8p.m. The tournament will benefit the Royal Rangers, an activity-based ministry at the church for boys ages 5-12. Two teams of six people play at once holding onto sliding pipes while trying to score. The Royal Rangers ministry is to evangelize, equip and empower future men to have Christ-like qualities and be a servant life hood, said Royal Rangers Senior Commander Mike Borman. Mike says they were looking for a fundraiser to help pay for the boys trip to the Royal Ranger National Camporama in Missouri next summer, when they came across the idea for human foosball on social media. We will begin setting up for the event at 8 a.m. on Thursday, July 28 at 601 Forest Ave. That time will be dedicated to food preparation, table setup, cleanup, etc… At 10 a.m., we will begin greeting and serving guests. This will continue until 10 a.m. on Friday, July 29. We are accepting volunteers anytime during the 24-hour. Moreover, we hope that volunteers can dedicate at least 2 hours per shift. However, you are welcome to stay as long as you like.
