Human Nature Essay According to Mark Twain, author of the Great American Novel “Whenever you find yourself on the side of the majority, it is time to pause and reflect.” Twain believes that people only worry about one piece of the puzzle but it is best to take a moment to look at the big picture. this can be applied to humans if you only have one type of human nature the world would not work so well but if you have a little of every type the human race can work together to make the best of things. In a Shakespearian tragedy, Shakespeare uses heroes to symbolize human nature, which combined with details that describe human nature allow readers to experience a connection and consider why we are the way we are.

He was a high ranking officer who had everything going for him, he had a good life and a nice job. He had the potential to live a life that would not have any pain and suffering. But he then fell in love with another man’s love and Othello and Desdemona loved each other. But the father was not happy so another officer that wanted Othello’s job used this as an opportunity to get rid of Othello. In Othello, Othello says in act 1 scene 2 page 1 “Let him do his spite. My services which I have done the signiory Shall out-tongue his complaints. 'Tis yet to know— Which, when I know that boasting is an honor, I shall promulgate. I fetch my life and being from men of royal siege, and my demerits may speak unbonneted to as proud a fortune as this that I have reached.” Othello states that he has done a tone for his job and that if he wanted to he could always be bragging about it but he does not because he wants to honor his job and family.
