The growing awareness about the profession also raises various questions like - What is the working environment in a typical media organization like? Treatment. which comes at the concluding stages of professional work brings the information gathered in the diagnostic process back out from the work system in some form to solve the basic human problem. The next step is a range of possible treatments which will remedy various groups’ needs. This might involve using the knowledge in new story, feature, editorial or some other treatment.
Journalistic work can be bundled into the following different tasks:
• Publishing – Publishers are involved in establishing and at times supervising the overall editorial direction of the newspaper.
• Printing – Printers complete the technical and practical tasks necessary to physically operate the printing machinery and produce the newspaper. Newspaper printing has become a full time technical task that is done by non- journalists.
• Observation and Information Gathering – Journalistic work has always required observation and information gathering. The reporters’ special task is to gather information and serve as observers of the world in a proactive process. In addition to their roles as news gatherers and observers reporters are

Though journalists main goal is to expose the whole truth, to do this they must be open on their methods of acquiring information. With the use of transparency in news articles, the journalists do just this. One major point in the
Newspapers: Newspapers are the most popular forms of print media. The advertiser in this case can choose from a daily newspaper to a weekly tabloid. Different types of newspaper cater to various audiences and one can select the particular category accordingly. Advertisers then design press advertisements where in the size is decided as per the budget of the client.
In 1690 is when the first newspaper was printed in the United States. Ever since then, some have used the newspaper to convey the latest events within our country and around the world-around the world. In completing this stimulation I was very successful at the good decision- making. Scoring a 4 out of 5 showed that my interest in the newspaper editor role was one of my strong points as a leader. I feel the editor acts as a guardian of our society; therefore helps in public opinion. The newspaper acts as a mirror to society and informs everything in detail that helps our society forming their opinion. In our Political Science book discusses how newspaper media is the new parent to your younger generation.(pg190). Many have to agree, because the teens are more focused on what they read than what someone is communicating to them through teaching in a classroom setting. Ever since the development of society newspaper has always assisted people. In the general level, the editor informs people about the incidents or promotes products of the companies. It even informs about job opportunities and admission in educational intuitions. If one is unsure about what to study or how to get admitted just read the students corner and find all the answers. It is simple, cheap and quickly available. The best part is, it can be referred back any time and can be documented for future
With all of the new platforms of media, our world is evolving faster than ever. New technology allows us to have fast and easy access to breaking news. The challenging task for journalists
Journalism has been around since the fifteenth century, reporting local news with the use of xylography then the printing press. During this time, only a few were able to access printed information first hand, as for everyone else, the news was told verbally as a story. As our nation became much more technologically advanced, more people would become involved with the news. A machine would begin automatically printing sheets of newspaper, the news was heard over the radio, and then news became televised. News known purpose was to inform the public of current events,“ at one time, ‘everyone believed what the government said… people disagreed over policy, but not over honesty (Finney).” When the news started to be televised,
After researching the issue and the future of the journalism field it becomes apparent that, as privately owned businesses, most publications have the primary goal of making a profit, and subsequently produce the content that people desire to achieve this goal. With the exception of government-owned publications like the ABC, news outlets have no ethical responsibility to produce the hard news content that the audience ‘need’ to know, as they are businesses with an objective of producing a profitable source of entertainment for their specific target audience. Despite the different media diets of each individual consumer, media executives have the technology to understand and therefore satisfy the desires of their target audience. Thus concluding that while publications may not satisfy the supposed needs of their readers, they are able to recognize what they want to consume and produce this to retain their following and therefore achieve their primary goal of making a
Nowadays journalists have the responsibility to report facts as accurately, objectively, and disinterestedly as is humanly possible. ‘’The, honest, self-disciplined, well-trained reporter seeks to be a propagandist for nothing but the truth’’ (Casey, 1944b).
Throughout the ages there has always been to some extent some form of journalism. From World War I with the use of radio and poster, to the more recent Iraq war where were we used more outlets including the Internet. Though the means of acquiring this information can sometimes come at a cost. To what extent should journalist go to obtain the needed information to write such articles and to report on events? Some say that journalist may get in the way or they may place themselves at risk of injury or death. However, such reporting can cause people, on which it’s targeting, to sway in a particular direction. It is by this reporting that journalist combined with media can be a strong political tool to gain favor by guiding the information to support their agenda.
The primary role of media delivering the news to the public is to gather and report news
In The Elements of Journalism by Bill Kovach and Tom Rosenstiel, the authors stated that the primary purpose of journalism is to provide citizens with the information they need to self-govern. As a student who regularly uses Google News, it is crucial to me that the journalist publishes the article in a way that empowers the audience. Often, external influences affect the role of journalism in our society. The line between journalism and propaganda is often muddled and groups of people are left behind. Although it is sometimes lost, the journalism we see today is meant to be the metaphorical bridge that makes sense of the masses of events and delivers it to the audience in a way that demonstrates clarity.
The journalist role is important because it provides the world with facts and the answers. Often times politicians or public figures may not tell the world the whole truth. But because of journalist, they take time to investigate the whole story and then provide citizens with correct news. Not only do journalist investigate the news, journalist also take time to interview these public figures and ask the questions that viewers want to ask. For example, Barbara Walters is known for her skills of asking the questions that most are scared to ask. But because she is fearless and true journalist she asks these tough questions and gets down to the nitty gritty. This is all made possible through the first amendment.
The belief that journalism is in decline has triggered major alarms, because society needs an informational environment that is easily available to all citizens such as newspapers. There is a large body of journalist that suggests that if television has taken over from the press as our main source of news this may limit our capacity to learn about public affairs; newspapers are believed to be far more effective than television at conveying detailed information necessary to understand complex and detailed issues. There is also widespread concern that if journalism fails as a profession it will not be able to reach large sections of the community, particularly younger or less educated readers. This may reinforce a growing gap among citizens between the information that they receive.
Journalists are professional people, trying to work within a code of professional ethics. This includes the need to be fair to all parties involved in any news story.
