Population On our world there are about seven billion people living at once. With all the resources available to us versus the increasing rate of people born a year, we will face a huge problem of surviving. Our earth will not be able to sustain more than ten billion people and with the rate of births versus deaths per year, seven billion is closely approaching ten billion in a matter of decades. If we do not change the amount of resources we consume and create efficient ways to reduce total consumption of resources we will be doomed. Taking in affect how we use our resources today, the most important resources that allow for our survival is oil, energy, fresh water and food are wastefully used. The most used resource by …show more content…
This is compared to ninety million barrels produced worldwide daily.
Scientists predict that there in only fifty thousand days left we will have oil accessible to us. In terms of food, we are able to substitute oil for certain fruits and for plastic using aluminum, glass, etc. However, the most troubled issue for the future is transportation. Planes, cars, trucks, etc. are all prime examples of essential oil users. We still have not been able to solve the issue of creating efficient energy to replace oil. Electricity is not at the point where we are able to replace oil. Oil is important for our survival however, we must be able to adapt to a point where we have a shortage of it. Energy all around us. If we are able to harness it and efficiently convert this energy to cause it to benefit us, it becomes an important to us. Energy is, “The strength and vitality required for physical or mental activity.” What we use energy is for electricity, heat, environment, etc. For electricity, we use it daily to power light bulbs to illuminate any darkness around us and power technology that keep us entertained, informed on daily occurrences and interact with people online. Without electricity, we would revert to using candles for illumination like our ancestors did and technology would be disconnected and unusable. We would even revert to the steam engine for power if worst came to worst. Energy is used to provide heat like stoves, or even cool our
The earth contains many natural resources that humans consume daily in order to satisfy our needs. Each natural resource, once gone, will require us to find an alternative. One of the most used and consumed natural resource on Earth is oil. Oil is needed for heating homes, the generation of electricity, the creation of asphalt on roads, and the production of many chemicals, plastics and synthetics. Additionally, oil is used for transportation purposes. Once oil runs out, how will humans travel across oceans, drive to work, or trade goods from country to country? With the end of conventional oil approaching, humans needs to locate alternative ways to replace oil within transportation of cars and planes in order to satisfy the needs of humans in the future.
Everyone uses a lot of power for lighting, heating, machines, movements, and so much more. All of that energy has to come from an energy supply. Some energy resources are renewable, while others are non-renewable. Energy has various forms and is a very essential part of our everyday lives.
It may not seem like it, but we’re running out of room on Earth. In modern calculations, human beings are currently causing the greatest mass extinction of species since the extinction of the dinosaurs 65 million years ago at rates 1000 to 10,000 times faster than normal. Following this current issue, our resources are dropping. Natural resources, such as water, are diminishing at an astonishing rate, due to over consumption by society. Not only are we losing these resources, but we’re
nearly 7.3 billion people can be a disaster if we don’t use many resources. The over use of natural
Energy is the capacity of a physical system to perform work. If there is no energy, then all systems as we know will not work. Americans rely on energy to heat their homes, charge their phone, and cook their food. The United States of America is highly dependable on a source of energy that has the ability to become depleted. Coal, oil, and natural gas are the prime resources used in creating energy, all of which are fossil fuels. Not only can fossil fuels deplete but when burned they leave a harmful carbon dioxide emission which can penetrate the earth’s ozone layer, resulting in environmental dilemmas. Renewable energy such as wind, solar, geothermal, and biomass provides advantages for our health, climate, and economy.
It is therefore, very important to minimize and make proper use of oil. The demand for the oil is increasing with increasing human population. If the demand for oil increases this way then we are no far from having oil scarcity. The scarcity of oil will harm the lifestyle. I remember facing oil scarcity back in my home country. My country faced a major economic blocked a year ago and being a landlocked country we had no excess to oil supply until our neighboring country allowed the oil tankers to pass through the borders. This blockade brought up the worst nightmare to all our natives. We had thousands of motors lined up in front of the gas station. Not only the petrol even the LPG gas were out of stock. People then had to go through the worst days. There were no petrol for the motors to ride and no LPG gas for people to cook and eat. We had no any alternative to fuel and LPG gas except for the electricity. But having all of the people use the electricity at once was very hard for the electric corporation to control and in no time we had power cut off more than 12 hours a day. Our people had to go through this for about 3 or more months and life then was very tough. Recalling all these days gives me goosebumps all over my body. So it is very important that we know and understand the importance of oil and that we start to minimize and make proper use of
Earths population is rising at a really high rate about 75 million a year. Its estimates the population will be 8.4 billion by mid 2030, and 9.6 billion by mid 2050. The more the population rises the more materials thats gonna be used for everyday life resources. More deforestations gonna happen for land and room for houses and what not.
The amount of resources humans currently use is far greater than the Earth can support, and eventually the finite sources of energy such as coal, gas, and oil will run out. Even renewable resources such as trees and farming land are being depleted at a faster rate than they can be naturally replenished. The only way that the Earth’s resources can continue to support the growing human population is if we attempt to reduce our ecological footprint, and there are several ways to go about this task. For one, people can find sustainable methods of fulfilling their needs for things like energy and food. Instead of using so much land for taking care of livestock and growing feed, farms can focus on growing vegetables for humans which use much less energy and water. People will have to eat less meat and purchase food that was grown locally to reduce transportation costs. Forests, farmland, and fisheries need to be used in a more sustainable manner so that they are not depleted before they can be replenished. We could also reduce our footprint by making use of cleaner, alternative sources of energy like wind and solar power instead of non-renewable ones like gas and oil that will soon run out. Although it is not practical for everyone to stop driving cars and flying, newly manufactured cars should be built as fuel efficient as possible or be able to be
Over seven billion people live on the planet Earth. That is four billion more people on Earth today than around 57 years ago (Smith 1). Over time, humans have had many technological advancements which increased the rapid depletion of renewable and non renewable resources such as water, food, and space. This, causes scientists to believe that the more people on the earth, the more we are going to run out of our resources. Although, many believe that Earth is quickly reaching its carrying capacity from the depletion of resources, that capacity is not within reach because the Earth has enough resources to sustain a much larger population than what is prevalent today.
Think about a sign that says EARTH Max Capacity 10 billion. Based on what they have the human population plans out parties. They have a lack of space and resources. Anyone who would plan these parties would have to take in account for the amount of people that would have to scrunch in with each other, and how many people would not have enough food to last the party. Which basically makes it so the guests are down to a certain number. Our planet is a close similarity to the already mentioned party. Just like how a large room can only offer a certain amount of resources. Despite this idea, the concepts of overpopulation, and resource degradation still are at large and are a risk.
The economic environment in nowadays dynamic, it is fairly important for organisations and managers to recognise the curtail of Human Resource Management. It is clear that Human Resource Management (HRM) has become one of the most recommend management strategy in the modern business (Leopold and Harris, 2009). Human Resource Management is a technique process of managing people in the workplace to enable and enhance organization performance (Leopold and Harris, 2009). This theory involved the responsible to attracting, selecting, training and managing people which make employees become more valuable to the organisations. It invests effect in learning and development at work. Also to communicate with all employees at each level to reward successful employee relations (Wilton, 2011). Human Resource Management plays a very important role in the operation strategy and management concerns in work organisations of all kinds (Leopold and Harris, 2009). In aim to justify this statement by evaluate the benefit and importance of Human Resource Management in contemporary work organisations. This essay will focus on analysis the advantages of use Human Resource Management in business also underline by explain more detail about the different HRM strategy brings benefits and give competitive advantages impact to the organisation success. Then summarise by a general conclusion on the importance of HRM in contemporary work organisations.
Declaring your major can be one of the most pressured decisions when attending college. It is my fourth year in college and although I had decided my major in Human Resources (HR) since I was in high school, I still don’t know what I would be doing with my degree or even know if it’s a popular field to major on. This is a situation most college students go through. Students deprive themselves of a social life and also from spending quality time with family and friends because they dedicate most of their young adulthood working hard for a degree in hopes they will obtain a better lifestyle and will end up working in a field they enjoy working for. But reality hits when graduation day approaches and we finally obtain a degree that will open many doors, a degree that also doesn’t assure a job right away. This is why I decided to research the future of the field in Human Resources, how successful will I be in this field? In this paper I describe the job outlook in Human Resources, what is expected in the field, and various challenges that might affect HR strategic plans in a company. I also focus on obstacles graduate students face in society and how it affects the chances of obtaining a job right away. To complete this research as precise as possible, databases such as Business Source Premier and academic journals that describe the training and development of the HR field were used, as well as recent articles that inform how successful the field in HR will be in the future.
Where would the world be without energy? Well, the answer is nowhere, the earth wouldn’t exist because there would be no nuclear fission of hydrogen occurring on the sun and the earth the earth would freeze over and fall into darkness. Where would we be if there was no energy? We wouldn’t exist, energy is vital to us it provides us with heat and gives us food to eat, and oxygen to breathe. To be more specific no life would exist without energy, energy is a vital resource to the survival of mankind. Energy has given us the ability to do extraordinary things such as build amazing structures that shield us from danger throughout the world, it allows us to travel the entire world in hours. It allows us to pick up things heavier than any man can lift. It allows us to move faster than anyone can move, energy allows us to see in the darkest places. Energy powers our city’s, our home’s, our computers, our stoves, and everything we need to survive. The ability to harness energy from a variety of sources is the most innovative discoveries to ever occur and the reason why we can do the unimaginable. Energy is also an important part of our society it provides us with the means to automotive and buildings, two of the greatest innovations ever. Energy is a vital resource to mankind; it gives us life, it gives us the ability innovate and do the impossible it allows us to build a structure that protects us from bad climate and natural disasters, it allows us to move objects and people
What is energy? Energy is the capacity to do work. Energy could either be created nor destroyed. Energy is the main source to survive, for instance, without energy from the sun all species from earth are unable to survive. All humans and living things are connected to energy. To create plants, it takes energy to grow. To create a human being, it takes energy to develop and born. Anything that you wish to do takes energy. Everything around the universe is energy. There is Quote by an unknown author that says your energy introduces you before you even speak. The energy that you put, and shows to the world is the energy that is going to show what you can do and show to the world. People dependent on energy. The energy that you give, says a lot about you. Waking up every day to do multitasking is hard, and it takes a lot of energy from you. Many people prefer to increase their energy levels by consuming caffeine, however, they don’t know that caffeine can eventually cause them fatigue and health problems. Using natural methods to restore people’s energy levels is the best solution to increase energy.
Although oil Consumers are aware of the future prices fall but the demand of oil still decrease. This may cause by awareness of people and technology factors. Modern generation is more aware to protect the environment for next generation. There is a need to reduce any chance of harm to the earth. Transport that use oil will be their first priority to reduce as it contribute carbon dioxide to the air. Therefore, introduction of new technology has become an important issue. For example,
