In the video on Human services administration: Structural framework: Authority and supervision, Andrea Ingram mentions that in administration the agenda for the day is often not what you end up doing. Administrators have to get with all departments to discuss the issues at hand and there many problems that must be addressed daily (Laureate Education, 2011). The video points out that the administrator must be the eyes and ears of an agency and take time to solve problems and consider all factors, in order to come to a correct conclusion (Laureate Education, 2011).

Department of Human Services (DHS) is a human service organization meant to help individuals and families with temporary services in their time of need. The mission statement is: “Improving the quality of life in Michigan by providing services to vulnerable children and adults that will strengthen the community and enable families and individuals to move toward independence.” (Michigan.gov) DHS provides an array of services to individuals and families, these include: food assistance, cash assistance, health care assistance, children services, adult services, and many more.

As a professional for human services, an individual must have knowledge and commitment to delivering the highest quality level of services to their client or client’s issues to improve their client’s quality of living. Human services have several of roles depending on their professions. Some roles may include learning to build relationships with clients, finding the right resources for clients, additional training and technology skills. In addition to several of roles, as a human service professional, it is very important to practice the ethical responsibilities that come within human services when dealing with clients on daily basis.

Throughout History Human Services made a big impact and a difference in our society as we know it today. Through the sociological era in the 1900's many were faced with challenges such as financial support for the poor and no support or guidance for the children, developmentally disabled and the mentally ill. Human Services make positive and lasting differences in peoples' lives, and they help improve the world.

The Human Services Organization I analyzed is New Beginnings. New Beginnings is an agency that provides sexual assault support services in Daviess, Hancock, Henderson, McLean, Ohio, Union, and Webster counties. The clients of this organization have all been affected by sexual assault or child sexual abuse. Issues within clients are best described as acute trauma responses or chronic trauma, such as sexual difficulties or loss of trust. In order to analyze this agency as efficiently as possible, I interviewed Terri Crowe, the Advocacy Coordinator, from New Beginnings. The Human Service Professionals are a group of individuals whose job is specifically to serve the society, educate them and work for the societal welfare at large. In the twentieth century, organizational ethics have gained immense importance in the corporate world. The need to adhere to ethical standards is even greater for the human service professionals and those who educate them. This is because any deviance from ethical standards can question the integrity of human service professions and can raise question on the standards of social welfare. This is unhealthy for the trust relationships of the society over human service individuals.

Not only do hospitals, doctors, nurses and all other specialists have to play a role in their clients care, clients need to have a responsibility as well. When clients are supplied with correct material, they will require superior support from their doctor and develop into dynamic contributors of one’s wellbeing and medical management. Consumers contain various responsibilities in progressing customer protection by assisting to guarantee one’s personal protection, functioning with healthcare groups to advance security, and promoting as a society for community coverage and responsibility of facilities and health organization achievement.

Client is a person who requires medical care. The client’s family is whoever the client say who his or her family is. Client’s rights, which a client is entitled to receive service from his/her regular physician unless he/she has been advised that the client/doctor relationship has been terminated, that is assuming that the client is sincere and honest one. A client is also entitled to be served or be advised that service is not available at the usual address but a comparable service is available at another practice and that arrangements have been made with that practice. As to quality of service, the client can expect to receive service of the quality that would be provided

I agree that valuing the satisfaction of clients and providing, validating information and care contributes to the positive experience of client within health facilities. Because if there is a limited access of care to clients, especially when they were waiting in an emergency or the surgery ward for a long period of time. They become anxious and frustrated as they are people just like us. on top of that the limited information provided to families and patients causes them to become uncertain about the plan of treatment. therefore, perceive that they have no control within the health facility and feel unvalued.

Hospital AB and Health Center is a community based acute care general hospital. The hospital is proactive in seeking methods to identify and provide all sources of community benefit and charity care. The mission of the hospital as stated in administrative service manual policy 726 (2005) is “With caring and compassion, we will improve the health and quality of life of the people we service.” The purpose of existence of the hospital is the commitment to patients and community to first understand their needs, second to provide services that meet these needs; and third, the recognition that service and clinical excellence are only achieved if they are delivered with caring and compassion.
