Chapter One: I walked to my window and looked at my kingdom, well not my kingdom but I was getting married then crowned queen in a month so close enough. I looked down as my father’s workers hauled hay into the stables. I then saw the highly decorated carriage with pure black horses pulling it. The carriage was complete with gold crowing and a whale painted on the side. He was here. The carriage came through to the front doors and a young man with curly black hair and a dark blue suit stepped out. He really was handsome; I just didn't want to marry him. He always knew how to make me laugh and that's part of the reason I enjoyed talking to him, but it was also because he may have said your highness and stuff but he never treated the other stable workers with less respect than me. I really liked that. He understood I'm not better than anyone. Every day when I went for a ride, he would make sure my horse was done before anyone else's, he’d braid his tail. My favorite part was when he'd write me a little letter that always started with Lorain. Lorain was my middle name; he used my middle name to keep out letter secret. It was strongest near the source of water impacted but as it floated up it began to disappear, being absorbed by the air around. The water was so clear you could see the bottom almost as though there was no water at all. The occasional fish that swam by looking like it was floating in midair. The real treasure about this hidden, wonderful, place was the trees. They were tall and of many variety, from pine to willow all in the same area. I'm assuming this place was created naturally, but I like to imagine maybe someone a long time ago found this place and planted the very willow tree I lean on today. Maybe not the prettiest thing, but for sure my favorite, was the moss. Many people would probably find it odd for anyone to like moss, but I liked what the moss represented, the moss clung to things near water, almost like a person wanting to be close to its source of life, wither that be money, or love. Moss covered spots of the cold grey stone and much of the trees facing the water. I'd lie on the bigger patches and slowly let my clothes soak up some of the moisture, it was soft and cool. I didn't need to worry about being wet when I got home because the little moisture would quickly dry on the fast horse ride
