Chapter One: I walked to my window and looked at my kingdom, well not my kingdom but I was getting married then crowned queen in a month so close enough. I looked down as my father’s workers hauled hay into the stables. I then saw the highly decorated carriage with pure black horses pulling it. The carriage was complete with gold crowing and a whale painted on the side. He was here. The carriage came through to the front doors and a young man with curly black hair and a dark blue suit stepped out. He really was handsome; I just didn't want to marry him. I wanted to marry for whom I love not who my parents love. I turned and walked across my rug that covered more than half my floor. When I got to the other side I stopped in …show more content…
He always knew how to make me laugh and that's part of the reason I enjoyed talking to him, but it was also because he may have said your highness and stuff but he never treated the other stable workers with less respect than me. I really liked that. He understood I'm not better than anyone. Every day when I went for a ride, he would make sure my horse was done before anyone else's, he’d braid his tail. My favorite part was when he'd write me a little letter that always started with Lorain. Lorain was my middle name; he used my middle name to keep out letter secret. My middle name came from my father's younger sister that passed away when she was young, two to be more exact. Lorain died from a sickness called mad cow disease. This is when a person feeds a cow, cow, making the meat not safe to eat. Everyone else got sick too but since Lorain was so young she couldn't fight it off and died. My father was close to dying also, but he was nine and healthier than Lorain in the first place. Sadly the castle meat supplier was hung for being the reason …show more content…
It had beautiful birds and mist floating out near the splash at the bottom almost like ash from a fire. It was strongest near the source of water impacted but as it floated up it began to disappear, being absorbed by the air around. The water was so clear you could see the bottom almost as though there was no water at all. The occasional fish that swam by looking like it was floating in midair. The real treasure about this hidden, wonderful, place was the trees. They were tall and of many variety, from pine to willow all in the same area. I'm assuming this place was created naturally, but I like to imagine maybe someone a long time ago found this place and planted the very willow tree I lean on today. Maybe not the prettiest thing, but for sure my favorite, was the moss. Many people would probably find it odd for anyone to like moss, but I liked what the moss represented, the moss clung to things near water, almost like a person wanting to be close to its source of life, wither that be money, or love. Moss covered spots of the cold grey stone and much of the trees facing the water. I'd lie on the bigger patches and slowly let my clothes soak up some of the moisture, it was soft and cool. I didn't need to worry about being wet when I got home because the little moisture would quickly dry on the fast horse ride
Standing over eight thousand feet in the atmosphere is the translucent alpine body of water, Tenaya Lake. You can sense the decreased temperature as the sudden gusts lash at your body. As you nibble the enviornment, the diminished oxygen is prevalent. The wind shrills across the lake as it makes its way to the tree line. The numerous sloping mountains encircle the metallic lake. The aroma of immense pines and glorious wildflowers floats throughout the zone. The cherished mountainous Tenaya Lake, above eight thousand feet in elevation, is without a doubt, one of God's fascinating
The servant ran into the room and had us follow him through the maze of beautiful halls and rooms. We eventually reached the throne room, it was a long spacious room with walls and pillars of granite. At the end of the room was a raised dais and a throne, in the throne sat a man whose hair was as white as freshly fallen snow. He seemed deathly thin and looked a bit like a corpse, but his eyes told me of a different story. For his eyes were young, alive, and full of energy, and seemed so out of place on the old man’s face.
I woke up to the smell of love on that muggy, August morning. There was absolutely no time to waste on sleeping, so I scrambled around the house reaching for the last of the items I would need for the day. I stumbled to the car in my bright pink tank top and cool green shorts, and we were on our way. My mom and I knew the morning would be unsuccessful without a little sugar, so we made a brief pit stop for my favorite breakfast snack ever: Cini Minis from Burger King! We then proceeded to our work for the day.
Two days later, I found myself wandering around the trench, silently observing the changes. Much of the water had evaporated, but roughly half of it still remained. I gazed into the water, lost in my own reflection, until a slight flicker from the corner of my eye caught my attention. I turned to notice rings of water expanding from various points in the pond, and I instantly knew that I wasn’t the only one present. Quickly
The wind howled louder each time Paul spoke the name of the race horse. Worried, She pulled Paul and wrapped him in her arms. She felt the vibrating, muffled moans seep from Paul’s buried head. This time she heard another voice inside the room, but they were alone, right? She turned her head to the rocking horse that was subtly swaying back and forth. Face to face, she stared at the horse’s large, glassy eyes. The horse’s once goofy expression seemed unsettling and it almost appeared as if it was crudely taunting her. Chills ran down her spine and the hairs on the back of her neck stood up. A faint wheeze escaped from its mouth. Wide eyed and disturbed, she laid Paul down daintily, stood up from the bed, and began backing away slowly, until she heard a ghastly shout!
There it was, fresh water, glimmering in the early morning sunlight, reflecting the emerald ferns blooming above my head. As I cupped the water in my hands the fresh sea air wafted through the island. I guzzled down the cold water as my body relaxed and I felt hope for the first time since the crash.
The waterfall was truly magical. It looked as though it had a secret door leading to the ocean when you stare at the aquarium blue water pounding down onto the rocks. If the water wasn’t ice cold, you’d without a doubt be floating in the blissful rock pool at the bottom. The flowers that grew on the land surrounding the waterfall were a creamy violet which smelt of sour wild berries.
Going through the pain of going over all these obstacles, but yet, still showing everyone around it such an admirable view. These people are hiking through and around this waterfall hearing the splashes and the crashing of the water as it reaches the bottom. The water keeps moving and allows a person to feel the cool air around them and the moisture of the water as it approaches them. Granting everyone surrounding the waterfall to feel pleasure and to relax. Furthermore, the water is not denying the enjoyment of other people around it for their own feelings, but helping others and appearing to be one of the most beautiful things the earth has to
The water is crystal clear that even from a boat you can see beyond the top into the depths of the ocean. You can look down and see the colorful scales of the fish swimming below you can see the turtles and hear the dolphins splash as they jump in and out of the water in their little pods. You put your nose up to the sky and inhale and you smell the salt water you close your eyes and you hear the crashing of the waves against the shore as if its becoming a soothing
He lead me outside the doors of the mansion and around the back to a stable. Inside, three black horses, one brown one and two white horses chewed on hay and stomped their feet. I followed him even as he walked up to the only door that was completely shut, the one at the end. He smacked on the door. A moment later, a small blonde-haired boy opened the door, poking only his head out for a moment.
The water contains oceanic plankton which creates an aquamarine and emerald illumination of the water. Along with the Aurora Borealis, it's one of nature's most beautiful displays. Watch it create the illusion of thousands of jewels floating just beneath the surface.
We and feel the harmony with nature from many aspects. The breaking water could be heard constantly throughout the entire house. Clear glass is used to connect the house with nature. As Brooke Malfatte described “Inside the Fallingwater, turning around in a full circle and all the birds, trees and animals outside could be seen” (Malfatto, 2005). The designer even bent a trellis so that a pre-existing tree could keep growing.
Yes, it looks pretty good. She has been working on it for about 3 years.
water and he was cheerful to see so much tiny fish since it implied angle. The interesting light the sun
The river also suggested a breeze, there were ripples that flowed southeast. There were many different shades of blue in the lake and river. The lake had a darker shade of light blue surrounded by a dark blue then lined with black. The lake appeared to have a light shining either on top or the bottom of it, which allowed you to see the grass growing under it. The river had a lighter shade of light blue with white lines to show the ripples but it was surrounded with the same colors as the lake. You did not see any grass growing under the river because there was no light shining on the river.
