Humorous Wedding Speech: When Julian Came Back To School

We are all gathered here today with my dad and dee to celebrate their love for each other. In my eyes they are such a inspiring couple they love each other unconditionally you guys make one an other laugh,smile, you have the funniest memories and I'm talking like there's some interesting one hahaha and there's so much more you guy have experience together. The two of you are like peanut butter and jelly you're the perfect match and no one could ever change that. I am so happy that my dad met someone so great for him and that have the patience for him lol good luck dee..but dad you have taught me to be independent and go for what I want and that exactly what I do. I can couldn't on you for anything and everything, you out of a lot of people in my life have the most faith and trust in me which mean that absolute world to me.

I am checking in to see how Jesalyn is doing in class? She informed me yesterday when I got home from work, she had a scheduled meeting with you, but had to meet her sister to walk her home. I would like to know what she can do to make this time up with you? If there is anything I can do please let me know. Jesalyn is starting to make small improvements at home and with her attitude. I hope with her father and I holding her more accountable for her actions this will also help improve her work ethic during school.

We are all gathered today to commemorate my life. Here I am, lying in my coffin, wearing full white dress, and excessive make up to hide how pale I am today. Some may say that I lived a very short life. And that I was a very nice person, but I was not. I was a girl who does a lot of bad things for the one I loved. I was the girl who swears a lot even it was not needed. I was a girl who disobeys my parents just for some guy who did not even deserve it. I was a sinner, and that may be the reason why I died early. Let me talk about my life. My life was indeed short, too short for me to experience pure happiness. I had an exciting life. I learned how to value the people who were in my life. I learned how to accept that not all people will stay.

Well that’s what it was like for Jonas in The Giver. Jonas lives in the future in a community where The Giver is the only one who knows everything, but soon all that changed for Jonas. He became the the community 's new Receiver of Memory, and soon Jonas learns the terrible secrets of this “utopian” community. Later on as he learns some more about the community’s secrets he makes a plan to leave the community, and to take Gabe with him so he wouldn’t get released.(which means they die, but the community doesn’t understand that) In this book choices, sharing, and celebrations would have made The Giver community more positive.

Several elements of mythology are present in the story, “Rip Van Winkle”, written by Washington Irving. This story takes place in the Catskill Mountains where Rip Van Winkle wanders off in hopes of fleeing his, “shrew”, of a wife. Rip encounters peculiar men who offer him a strange brew and he finds himself waking 20 years in the future. Each of these elements, the setting, mysterious characters, and the strange environments show the different characteristics of a mythological story. As the story opens, the reader finds the setting to be on the Hudson River looking at the Catskill Mountains.

I just want to start by saying thank you to all my friends and family for being so understanding about having no free time to go to family events on occasions. I want to personally thank my mother and father for never giving up on me and striving to find ways to help me when I was I need of assistance. This morning I am feeling pain on my two feet, other than that I am feeling splendid. Yesterday was a very rough day for me. I looked at the day and I told myself it's just a bump in a road. Every devoted and passionate runner have some type of hiccup. It as not meant to be. I am a firm believer that everything happens for a reason. I said to myself I will be running Boston next year and I will COMPLETE IT with confidence! In the meantime, I will be training for a couple of races in June, August, and a big race in September.
