HUNGER GAMES vs STAR WARS In the story of hunger games and star wars there hero's journey had many differences and similarities. Some examples of this could come from the Ordinary world, Refusal, and Mentor/Helper. Some ways these to story could be different or the same are… One way these story are different is the refusal. I say this because they are basically the opposite of each other. For example, Katniss really didn't refuse she volunteered to go to the hunger games. For luke he said no i'm not going because he couldn't leave his uncle, but then he eventually luke finally went with kenobi unlike katniss who went immediately to the games. That is how these two refusal are different. In both of these stories these both have very different
Similarities between the two types include the tiny trinket Katniss was gifted before the Games, also known as the mockingjay pin. Despite the fact that Madge wasn’t there to give it to her, it stills exists. Another interaction Katniss made was with Peeta. More specifically, on the roof. In both the movie and novel, the district 12 tributes have a chat that ends with Peeta stating that he doesn’t want to become a sellout. Speaking of Katniss’s allies, Rue’s demise was identical

The hero in this film is known as Luke Skywalker whom goes through all the ordeals and comes out as a hero.
The Hunger Games and Divergent demonstrate an exaggerated view of the extremes, society has come to, to minimise the drastic effects and repercussions that the present has caused this future dystopian society.

Have you ever had where people don’t want you to be yourself or life just doesn’t seem to be going the right way for you? Katniss Everdeen from The Hunger Games by Suzanne Collins and Kara Westfall from The Thickety by J.A.White both seem to run into 8`this problem without end. They are struggling to stay themselves while saving others who don’t think they need saving. After losing people they care for, them not caring or just not alive and well. After tragedy they seem to find a sense of justice and throw themselves into danger for those who might fall to the same cause of their family of friends. No matter what people say, they are determined to be themselves, no matter what happens.
Both of these quotes seem to ring true. Fear can make people do things they would not normally do, but they can also overcome their fear with a much stronger and positive emotion. Fear is a common motif in literature, especially in The Hunger Games and Divergent, two immensely popular and influential young adult book series. Many have debated how similar these books are, which has some truth. Both take place in a dystopian world and feature a young woman leading a rebellion, who struggles with love in the meantime. The books are not exact copies of each other, though. However similar they may be, both novels convey ideas such as love, governmental, and societal influence very differently.
Everyone knows any good story has a basis of good and evil, and a quality hero or heroine. Through the many trials that person goes through, he or she in most cases, saves the day. In the film and the book Peeta had a crush on Katniss and he announced in front of millions of people.
“May the odds be ever in your favor.” (Collins, 19) If you have never heard this quote before, then you have probably been living under District 13. Do you think the Hunger Games book is better or do you think the Hunger Games? The story takes place in a nation in the future called Panem what is North America present, and has a very rich capital with 12 districs surrounding it. Every year the Panem has a event where the lottery picks out 24 children ages 12-18 to fight to the death on they are recorded and watched on national television. Dystopian worlds are known to be set in the future, but there is the possibility to come true. “Dystopian young adult novels have risen in popularity among teenagers and adults alike” ( N/A 1). There have been several books written about dystopian worlds, such as The Hunger Games and Divergent these books have recently been turned into movies. They seem to be different, but in all reality they are very much alike with things setting, costumes, and message. I honestly prefer The Hunger Games over Divergent due to the fact that The Hungers Game had more money to work with and that it seemed all around better made with things such as setting, costumes, and the message.
“I volunteer as tribute!” This quote from The Hunger Games represents Katniss’s, the main character, bravery as she basically exchanges her life for her sister’s.
