Floods, mudslides, earthquakes, and raging fires are just a few of the events that have stripped people away from their families, homes, and possessions. The deadliest of these natural disasters are hurricanes. Extremely strong winds mixed with large waves can cause enormous damage, taking months, even years for towns to recover. As a Houston based law firm with deep ties to the community, we have been devastated to witness the destruction caused by Hurricane Harvey. While the stories of heroic rescues and the kindness of strangers make us beam with pride at the magnanimity of our great City, we grieve over the unimaginable toll this hurricane has already taken on our friends, clients, neighbors, and colleagues.

I believe that all people are born being good its peoples nature to help someone in need. So many people are ready to help people in need, and this hurricane harvey was a perfect example on why i think people are good.

On Tuesday August twenty ninth four days after Hurricane Harvey made landfall, the flood waters rose quickly. The water ranged up to fifty inches. People started to help evacuate others on August twenty ninth, also evacuees made their way through flood waters in Houston Texas. Trump spoke of the long-term effort and stiff costs that will be needed to rebuild and clean up everything Hurricane Harvey destroyed in the region. Hurricane Irma also caused food and water to become scarce, hospitals and health clinics to struggle, and schools to be closed. Lots of people lost homes to Hurricane Irma, and it has proved to be a tragic event.

Last week Hurricane Harvey hit Texas! No one expected this storm to be so severe. Hurricane Harvey was one of the worst, most damaging hurricanes Texas has ever experienced. The damage from Harvey was very extensive. Harvey left millions of people without homes to come back to, cars were washed away, and people went missing and some died. People from different states came all the way to Texas and risked their lives to helped strangers when they didn’t have to.

Hurricanes leave a lot of damage to the states they hit. It also can kill people and leave people injured, my topic is Hurricane Sandy and this affected a lot of people.

Hurricane Katrina struck the city of New Orleans, Louisiana on August 29th, 2005. The events that followed would leave the whole nation in shock until this day. One of the major topics of discussion after this disaster was whether or not the government's slow reaction time had anything to do with the fact that New Orleans is sixty-seven percent African American. As helicopters circled a wasteland that was once a major tourist attraction, the racism of the Deep South, thought to be extinct, proved it was only dormant. The same racism against African Americans that could be seen on Bourbon Street in the months prior to the hurricane reared its ugly head once more in Gretna, LA and was pointed out on live television by rapper Kanye West.
