Many of the drivers in Houston were affected by the increase in gas prices and long lines at the gas stations when Hurricane Harvey hit. Due to Harvey’s landfall, it caused most of the Texas population to flock to the pumps, in fear of a long-term gas shortage. Last week Hurricane Harvey hit Texas! No one expected this storm to be so severe. Hurricane Harvey was one of the worst, most damaging hurricanes Texas has ever experienced. The damage from Harvey was very extensive. Harvey left millions of people without homes to come back to, cars were washed away, and people went missing and some died. People from different states came all the way to Texas and risked their lives to helped strangers when they didn’t have to.

When a hurricane hits people usually know how to prepare, however, that was not the case for these two. People had stocked up on food, water, and other essential. These two thought that this hurricane was going to be a category one, however, to their surprise, it was a category three, so they did not prepare.
