Hurricanes: The Saffir Simpson Scale

Hurricanes are large storms that have strong winds that could be around 74 mph or higher. For one thing, hurricanes are categorized by the wind speed and they use a hurricane scale called the Saffir Simpson Scale. To begin with, a hurricane starts as a tropical storm and ends as a hurricane, but the storm keeps the same name throughout the whole process of the storm. Although, scientist does not know what starts a hurricane, many scientists are studying the hurricanes. In fact, scientists don’t even know if hurricanes could even be affected by dust storms from across the ocean from Africa. In the end, hurricanes are tragic and many people are affected and many people die from hurricanes.
