The Arctic wolf is a sub-species of the grey wolf and lives in the Arctic regions of North America and Greenland. Arctic Wolves also live in, Montebello, Quebec, Canada. The arctic wolf if a mammal.

Chino Hills High School Huskies are known throughout the district for having a great sense of "Husky Pride." This is because the Huskies have a lot of school spirit, and compassion for everything on our campus. However, this 2016-2017 school year, "Husky Pride" has become "Husky PRIDE!"

To understand an animal more, you must first understand the history behind it. The evolution of Siberian tigers started when a fossil of Siberian tigers were found in China. It was two million years old. Even though the animals have different features that make them appear different, they are very much alike internally, including that in the distant past they had a common ancestor. For example, all tigers have characteristics such as; strip patterns,large paws, long claw, whiskers,sharp teeth, long tail, and strong hind legs. Wolves are highly adaptable to most habitat types except tropical rainforests and arid deserts. Wolves can be found in savannas, taiga, tundra, plains, steppes, and all forest habitats. The Grey wolf is a carnivore and is known as a tertiary consumer. This means that they exist in the top level in a food chain. An example of an animal that is beneath the Grey wolf on the food chain would be the caribou, which is one of its most hunted food sources.

bAllen Gagnon 11-30-17 Gray Wolf The gray wolf originated in Eurasia and made its way to North America more than 750,000 years ago. The gray wolf's habitat grew to cover most of the Northern Hemisphere and eventually came to inhabit the largest range of any mammal in history. This naturally adaptive animal flourished in a range of climates from the severe cold weather of the arctic wastes of Greenland to the harsh heat of the deserts of Arabia. Although estimates vary widely, it is believed that about 5,000 years ago approximately 2 million gray wolves inhabited the earth.

Grey wolf Habitats: They are normally found in North America.Today, their range has shifted to Canada, Alaska, the Great Lakes, northern Rockies, Pacific Northwest and Yellowstone park.

The grey wolf is believed to have originated from asia and crossed the Pleistocene bridge around 700,000 years ago. Nowadays, the gray wolf has been hunted nearly to extinction in the lower 48 states, however, some populations managed to survive and some were reintroduced and now mostly remain in Europe, Alaska, Canada, and Asia. Although this animal remains in small amounts, there are many things found and many things to be found about how and where it evolved from. Many studies from biologist can predict that the gray wolf evolved from a primitive carnivore called a Miacis that lived approximately 65.5 million years ago that lived in warmer climates in Asia and over time was separated and the species that split into the colder regions transformed

The overtime period went back and forth for both teams but the Huskies would find a way to get through it taking the game by ten points.

Arctic Wolf aka (polar wolf or white wolf ) Melville island wolves live where few other animals can survive. They have a very unique color due to the location that they live in. There weight depends on where they live some weigh upto 75 pounds other weigh 125 pounds. Some of them are about 3 feet in length but some can be up to 6 feet up in length.They have two thick layer of fur.The outer layer actually gets as winter months come along.The first layer helps to form a waterproof barrier for the sun. There body temperature can stay warm enough even when it is bitter cold . There also have smaller ears than other wolves and their paws are patted so it easer from them to walk on the bitter cold ground. Its believed by most that they evolved

As the population is growing more crops and cattle for farms are expanding and this has started to cause the Gray Wolves to get in the endangered list in 1976. Within those farms, Gray wolves would invade the livestock and gather food from the farms. When the farmers witness their livestock being eaten and taken away from the wolves they would kill and shoot the animals to defend their farm. Since there are so many farms the food stock has become limited for them so they have to find whatever food they can. Besides limited food disease is also a huge problem within their community, diseases such as canine distemper which is caused by unvaccinated dogs and kills young pups to older adults. Gray wolves are also a dangerous predator to themselves,

blend in with their environment to better hunt prey. Male gray wolves are the largest members of the canine family and weigh an average of 90 pounds(41 le.)as adults, with females weighing Did you know that gray wolves are the largest members of dog family? Before the 1970s the gray wolf population was constantly declining to a number that was nearing extinction. To help their population, the Department of Fish and Wildlife decided that they should protect the gray wolves by placing them on the endangered species list. After many years of being on the list, the federal government conducted research to determine if the population had increased enough to be removed from the endangered species list. After the government hired scientists to conduct the research they decided that the gray wolf had, in fact, increased to a level that was not be in danger

The first Inuit people that lived in North America used dogs to travel around to the places they needed to go. The dogs not only helped the Inuit people travel, but they also help with hunting. The dogs were brave to scare off bears and other threatening animals. When an Inuit person used their feet to travel they put little spikes on the bottom of their boots to get better grip on the ice. The Inuit people used and made two different boats, the kayak and the umiak. Kayaks are small lightweight boats that the Inuit people used for hunting, which could fit one person in wood frame boat covered with sealskin. They were built to be lightweight so they were easy to maneuver in the water. Sealskin skirts were made to keep the water out of the boat.

Labrador retrievers are one of the most popular pets in the United States, but not always for the right reasons. Many times people will get a lab hoping it will fulfill their dreams without even considering the pros and cons. Labs are typically very loveable, and energetic, but they can also be very detrimental.
