The United States Border Patrol is a police force located all over America. Most people think the only job Border Patrol has is chasing down immigrants due to the media coverage on the Mexican border. Although it is a big part of the job it is not the only thing done. The continuous battle between Hamilton’s Federalists and Jefferson’s Democratic-Republicans did not stop after Washington’s warnings in 1796. The debate between the balance of Order and Liberty was a very large topic during the four year period of 1796 to 1800. John Adams, a Federalist, became President in 1796 after defeating Thomas Jefferson in a close poll. Adams was much more openly aligned with the Federalists than Washington was and he wanted to keep Federalist leaders in power as long as he could, even after his administration. To ensure this, Adams passed the Alien and Sedition Acts in 1798. The Alien act changed the number of years a foreigner had to live in America before they could vote from five years to fourteen. This benefited

Immigration is a great thing in my opinion. Immigration brings new people to new places and new foods and different ways of agriculture. People also bring together religion and races that combine and make new races. If immigration didn't happen then we would only eat certain types of food only have one or two types of religion and be a very simple, boring type of people. Also we wouldn't have certain materials because most inventions we use today were not only made by the people whose parents were not born here, because most of their parents or they themselves were not born here.
