I was a college graduate and was hired as treasurer in China. After I immigrated to New York, I knew that I have to back into school, because everything in the past is just like a piece of white paper once I entered a new country. I need a chance to start again, to rebuild my life. Currently, I am a senior at Baruch College, and my major is accounting. I transferred to this school from Borough of Manhattan Community College, and already have a goal that I want to be an accountant. I had taken numerous Accounting courses and Business courses, and over the course of my courses I have grown and learned more, and I also found out my strength and weakness. Specially, my management courses, it has taught me how to be me. I have learned how to express myself, how to think for myself, and how to act in various situations. Most importantly, I have learned how to get rid of the weaknesses and make use of the advantage. Based on a self-assessment of “Management Traits”, I found that industriousness is my strongest and ability to get along with people is my weakest. Actually, I’m a very results-driven. I hope to be successful, thus, I do things to the best of my ability to be successful. I always give myself pressure and make it as my motivation. I saw that I always push myself to reach my goal, because I am hardworking and enjoy working and getting the work done.Thus, I have my own rule, and that is that I have to study harder to get a good result.
