Hey, I know you had wanted an update. I really do like it here. Besides the fact that it’s warm, everyone's friendly. The other day ( a few months ago) we went into a store. My mom's vegan ←and→ we were making tacos. She, of course, doesn’t put in meat and instead puts in beans, which I personally can’t stand. Anyway, my sister and I begged her to get meat and she let us, as long as it was lean. We got some, came back, and somehow it wasn’t lean enough. So my sister and I went back and we didn’t know what to do. A guy, probably in his 40s, came over and told us all we could ever possibly want to know about meat and much more. By the end, I knew about his family, where he grew up, what he does for a living… it's different. You can’t physically walk into a store without getting in a conversation with someone.
The weather here is gorgeous. It already can reach up to 80°. I don't know how I’ll be in the summer if it’s over 100°. There have already been a few times when we’ve had the tornado sirens go off. It’s very different when the sky is orange with hail pounding

We’re building in Rehoboth but living in Dothan. Even with notes from our builder and the company, they won’t let us go there until we’ve lived in Rehoboth for a month. We heard from some church members to avoid the Dothan schools. So we tried a private school, but their teaching methods were far off and they didn’t seem to know what they were doing. My sister and I have settled on homeschooling for the remainder of this year. I do just want to say that MV was honestly amazing. At the private schools you could tell that the teachers were just there to make money. They didn’t care, nevertheless enjoy it. At MV you all seemed to like it and that made a huge difference for me. I just want to thank you because you don’t know how much your classes helped and meant something to me. The fact that I would wake up in the morning looking forward to the day says a
In recent years, the homeschooled population in Spotsylvania County Public Schools (SCPS) has continued to grow. Due to state regulations, the governing body of the division, the Spotsylvania County School Board (SCSB) developed a policy to address the procedures and protocols necessary to guide homeschooling options in the division: Policy LBD (2015) (See Appendix A). According to L. Binion, Guidance Director for SCPS, currently the division has 1,036 registered and 31 pending homeschooled students in grades K-12 (personal communication, November 13, 2015). Further, although the division has generally averaged 3-4 additional requests weekly, requests have skyrocketed to 1-2 per day for the past several weeks. The spike is likely connected to two recent negative events associated with the division—a thwarted mass shooting plan, and a case of severe hazing at a high school, (L. Binion, personal communication, November 19, 2015).
Look a TORNADO! There are 2 ef-5 tornados! The forecast today is that there are 2 ef-5 tornados and they are ripping things up we better get shelter. Ok i'm back with the weather and i am going to list some cause and effects for you while i’m standing.
One claimed to watch a building to burn completely down right in front of their eyes. Guests from the Dollywood resort were evacuated as flames approached the area, yet the property hasn't suffered any damage. Winds are now racing at 80 mph and debris have taken over the fresh air. Looking out into the distance, fire is everywhere we look. Roads are now closed and some people were left behind who are now kept in our shelters. According to the weather, it looks like we're getting the best news we've received so far; rain. Unfortunately, more wind is coming along the rain from eastern Tennessee, Southwest Virginia and Southwest North
It’s Thursday, September 15 my supervisor Sherry Smith calls me into her office and tells me I have to go to Northwest Miami-Dade to evaluate a family of four. The first thing that comes into my mind is, “Oh great another Hispanic family.” She explains that there have been several domestic abuse complaints and they need me to be there by 6 o’clock today. I look at the time and it’s already 4:50 PM. Our office is in Fort Lauderdale; all I can think about is the traffic while making assumptions of the family. The last thing she ends with is, “Call me if you need me, I don’t want another melt-down.” In my last journal entry, I wrote about how I was in Northwest Miami-Dade and I had my third Hispanic family, but our values didn’t coincide even
There we we're just chilling in my military grade jet with my friends. We were sitting there playing games while circling an island, then you wouldn't believe me if i told you that we saw 20 military birds. They didn't see us until my friend sneezed they started shoot left and right. So we turned my jet into and military plane an we shoot and shoot.. We killed all of them except wan which we tortured too tell us where their base is until at his final moments he tells us an we get go searching for it. We find it an we go fast there are 50 more and we shoot and shoot until there all dead. Then we cooked them and ate them the entire way home.
Alright Alright, It's memorial day and it is still 1000 degree with no end in sight. This may be the end of the world and we all cook to death... who knows. As I cannot convince any of my buddies to get out of there air conditioning safety bubbles, I sit inside too contemplating what to do. Being inside seemed to be the only option for myself and I wasn't too thrilled. It was time for dinner and as the food was cooking I looked at my phone to see my weather app and the snapchat weather people inform me that there was rain coming. As Zimmerman was just getting hit by rain, people south of me were running from tornados which actually seemed pretty entertaining and better than sitting inside bored.
"I'm going to pin him in 10 seconds, I'm going to pin him in 10 seconds," was ringing through my head, and that's also exactly what I told there coach. A little before there match he approached me and asked what weight I was wrestling I answered and the told him, "I don't care who I'm facing I'm going to pin him or her in 10 seconds." It was the last match of the year against our rivals and the hype of the match was intense. It made people nervous just thinking about it. I wanted to get the fastest pin for the school. I remembered the saying, "You can do anything you put your mind to," and that exactly what I did. It was at the brand new West York gym and we were the first sporting event to be held there. All over social media there was trash talk but the mat is the only place you can own your words. I knew I wasn't going to let anything or anyone stand in my way.
The album had like a spaceship theme them. I was able to hear the voices and loud drums which was very interesting. There were skits tat logic wrote for the whole album that made the album more enthralling. Right from the beginning to the end of each song. Best album I've ever heard.. My mom came downstairs to cook some lunch for me, logic, and the guys.
Tyler gets me a job at the Gap stocking shelves. He says he gets me the job because it's time I made a difference in people's lives. Make consumers, employees, whoever, to question their roles as rusty clogs in the machine they're a part of. I've become his little project.
What makes me, me is my sense of resilience, comical approach to life, and adaptability that have been influenced by various childhood experiences. Specifically, my family moving frequently, and living in houses that were being [forever] remodelled, and the risks I took with my education. By the age of nine, I had moved six times, one of them being from Minnesota to California. Each [house] was my parents’ own project as we lived in a construction zone that often lacked elements of a proper home, such as a traditional bathroom door usually substituted for a shower curtain, missing stovetops remedied with an outdoor camping barbeque, nonexistent walls covered with tarps, and a yard that was constantly being updated. With each step of my childhood,
Your laughter comes out in choked waves, as if some musician’s plucking at your vocal chords and you refuse to let them create music out of the ache in your chest. There’s a journal on your bed that’s full of thoughts you could express, but you settle with the usual.
I hope everyone is adjusting to the crazy weather lately. A lot of impressive events are going on at
Think of your favorite thing in the world to do. Something that defines you. Something that you can only experience from your eyes. For me it is soccer, and through that came a rite of passage that will be with me forever.
It was almost 3 years ago that I found myself in a rather strange dilemma. I was bored with blogging and all the gimmicks that you had to do in order to be good at it. This concept did not work for me. I wanted something that inspired creativity in me and in others. So I started experimenting with posting cartoons, pop culture artwork, internet memes, and videos. Not only was I having fun, I was learning to curate content.
Some of the scariest moments I’ve had in my life have been because of the weather. I can remember storms rolling through and seemed like the roof was going to come off the house. There aren’t storm sirens across the rural landscape in the Ozarks, so you have to hope the TV or radio weatherman can give you enough warning when dangerous weather approached.
