There are many different types and kinds of sports, but only one comes even close to being my favorite. All sports provide a variety of natural health benefits but one in my mind stands out as being neutralizing and peaceful. The sport to which I am referring is the simple, yet complex, the sport of golf! Golf… some would say it’s only called that because all the other swear words in the English language were taken. In my opinion this is the furthest from the truth. There is just so much about the sport that is overlooked. For instance, the fact that it’s slow and unrushed. Most people see this and misinterpret it for being a sport that is boring and lacks motivational charge. Being slow and unrushed allows you to properly challenge yourself and your ability to play the game well. These surroundings have a profound effect on your mental and physical state. Playing pool for instance, it is usually an indoor sport. Because it is an indoor sport you lose what nature gives us constantly…. fresh, clean, untouched oxygen. While playing golf outside you are constantly bringing in brand new air, and with this new air comes better circulation. This improved circulation means stronger more focused thought processes.
