I love to play golf. To win the grand prize it would mean so much to me and my family. Winning the prize would make me a better golfer and a my guest a better golfer. I play golf almost every day at Firestone Public Golf Course and other local public courses. Last month I went to Pinehurst to compete in the Hurricane Golf Tour Pinehurst Shootout. In August this year I will be playing on a high school golf team and I would love some clubs that offer more forgiveness and more distance. Winning this prize will change my life. I love Titlest and I would not trust any other golf
Through the history of youth golf people have created youth golf associations which create programs like summer camps and golf teams and leagues. Summer camps are great programs if you are new to the game of golf. They provide the basics of golf and will build you up for the next level. Most summer camps are co-ed (S4). You can find youth summer camps at most golf courses that have interest in youth golf.
As I ran up and down the tee line, I saw my father slamming the ground with a golf club. I could not understand why he was always so angry when practicing. I stopped running and watched him closely, studying his body as he elegantly whipped the club through the air. Sweat was dripping from his nose, his shirt soaked completely through. I was six years old and in awe of this man. At home he was just dad, but on the golf course, he was someone else. He was an athlete. I watched him for hours that day, and I would watch him for years to come as he practiced, trying to find the perfect swing.
Blaming your moves, shots and swings for your golf mishits and mishaps? Well, no matter how much time and effort you have been spending over practicing your moves to perfect your game, you still won't achieve your goal if you use unsuitable or defective types of golf equipment, will you?
Winning all that money and the trophy is not the easiest with all the greatest players in the field, and especially the course. Players have to battle the strong and inconsistent winds, the rock hard turf, the knee deep fescue, and all the different slopes all over the course. If you get tangled up in the fescue on a hole, you can go ahead expect bogey or worse, because you're not guaranteed to get out on your first swing. When you finally arrive to the green you can one putt as easy as you can 5 putt, there is no easy putt on any Open Championship style green. You better watch the speed of the putt as well because you can have a birdie putt from 15 feet, and get to aggressive then have a 15 foot par comebacker.

“The Judgement of Paris” is essentially the prequel to the Trojan War. It’s a series of events that started with the goddess of Discord, Eris. As an unpopular god she was excluded from many events that the other gods and goddesses attended. At an important event, the marriage of King Peleus and the sea nymph Thetis, she alone was not included. Eris to take revenge on the gods and goddesses decided to throw a golden apple into the party. The golden apple was inscribed with “For the Fairest”. All goddesses present of course, wanted the golden apple for themselves. Eventually it was narrowed down to three goddesses Aphrodite, Hera, and Athena. The three had asked Zeus to judge them, but refused and instead pointed to a young man. The young man
In my essay I wrote about golf and would like to review that in a little more detail. I stated that golf is a sport and not just a game. Also, if we look back at what I said about sports, they have to fill a certain criteria that must be filled. Like all sports, if we like them, give us a lot of enjoyment, they may also have a lot of equipment, and all true sports have competition. Enjoyment is crucial in playing any sport, because how can I do something and do it well if I’m not enjoying it?
It was a peaceful, sunny day and perfect for golfing. The lake shimmered with sunlight as my dad, Ellie and I scooted up the hill in our golf cart, ready to go putt out balls in the hole. “Hey Kate,” my dad said, “Go see if you can find your ball, I will come and help you after I putt my ball in.”
My whole life I've wanted to go to college and play golf for a Division 1 school. After my long and hard journey, I'm hoping to go to SFA this fall and play golf. I never realized when I first started playing golf that it would be this tough. It's been an emotional roller coaster for me and I can't wait to see what college golf has in store for me.
Did you ever think that a gentleman's game could relate so much to a seventeen-year-old girls life? Turns out you can relate anything if you try hard enough. Every day is a new day, similar to each hole and golf course is different. You never know what the condition of the golf course will be and you don’t know what the weather might be while your playing. One of the biggest things I follow when I’m playing golf is to take one shot at a time just like the saying “take one day at a time.”
Playing golf provides many positive opportunities for me. For instant, a good sportsmanship provides guidelines that generalized to my lifelong achievement. I have learnt not just how to hit a ball but more life lessons while taking this course. Coach teaches me much about being disciplined. Whether it was to do my assignment on time or work out on field, I learned how to discipline myself in a manageable period to accomplish the goal.
The First World War changed a generation. The horrors of this mechanized conflict were so traumatic towards the so called and aptly named “lost generation” that it created a stark divide between them and previous generations. An example of this divide is in the poem They by Siegfried Sassoon. In this poem by Sassoon, himself a veteran of the trenches, we see a Bishop describing all of the “changes” that the boys who are going off to war will undergo. How they will fight bravely and valiantly by “lead the last attack on Anti-Christ”. These are then retorted by veterans of the war who list their injuries “For George lost both his legs; Bill’s stone blind poor Jim shot through the lung and like to die.” This poem illustrates the divide between
First I would like to say, that to many people, even the word golf sounds boring. I do admit, that I have thought that at times. Still, try to trust me. Golf can actually be a fun and rewarding sport. Here is why you should give golf an honest effort to see if you like it for yourself.
When average person thinks about playing golf the first thing that comes to their mind is “ this game is hard”, “I have play in this weather all the time, or my favorite line “ I cant do this sport. But, when we think about to the half of the sport golf is mental. The average players verses advance players have a different approach to the mental part of the game of golf. Many people, most of whom know absolutely nothing about the sport, do not realize that playing golf regularly can add five years to their life span and also have many other well-being-related benefits (“Health” par. 5). How come the mental part of golf help overcome fear of losing a tournament.
“Good Country People” is a classic short story by contemporary American author Flanner O’Connor. Published in 1955, it a compilation of symbolism, imagery, characterization, irony, and allegory which created a Christian Humanism short story. The most famous yet clichéd Idiom “Pride goes before a fall;” adapted from the book of Proverbs in the Holy Bible, is exemplified both literally and figuratively in this short story. Its central message goes to show how the attitude one portrays can lead to their self-destruction.
