My greatest career goal is to become a pediatric nurse, nursing is an extremely challenging, and physically demanding career, however, it is also very rewarding and interesting. The medical field has fascinated me since I was a child, and in the last couple of years I have realized my true passion is to work with children. I have worked with children all of my life, and in my junior year of high school I took AP Child Psychology, in this class a few times a week the students would help out in the preschool that was in the same building. Working in that preschool was one of the best experiences I have ever had. Getting to know the children, helping them with their worksheets, and playing with them really showed me how amazingly creative and compassionate children are, and even though you may have a few problems with sharing, or a couple of cranky kids, overall it was great, and it solidified my decision to become a pediatric nurse. …show more content…
In the spring of 2016 I took a CNA (Certified Nursing Assistant) class and during my clinicals I worked with the elderly, and while this was a great experience and most of the residents were delightful, it truly strengthened my ambition to help and work with
Two Budgets are your career and min wage. The career I want to have is to be a Forensic Nurse. First, the min wage is how much the state sets for you to get paid, it’s like a certain amount ($7.50). The career wage is basically how much money you get from the job that you get or want. The career wage is supposed to be basically like almost the same or better than min wage, if not something is all the way wrong. In the min wage when they tell you you are getting that amount, you sometimes get it or sometimes not. The career and min wage are supposed to be mainly different.
I have aspired to be in the medical field for as long as I can remember. At the beginning of every school year the teachers would inquire each student to share what role we wanted to pursue when we grow up, my answer was always the same: a nurse. I am very goal oriented, and I am aware to accomplish anything you must work for it and put in one hundred percent. Mistakes can be critical, but they remain a huge part of the learning experience and advancing. How one handles those mistakes are ultimately what makes or breaks you.
I want to be Neonatal Nurse because, I enjoy helping kids and babies, taking care of them and making a difference in their life.
From the beginning of this year, and into the summer I worked as a CNA (Certified Nursing Assistant) at an assisted living facility in Colorado. It was a great experience and it made me realize that helping people is something that I want to do no matter what. Working as a CNA has taught me so many things, but something that stands out to me is that I learned to have patience so that I could understand what someone is communicating, or trying to communicate.
I would like to go into the Pediatric Nurse Practitioner career field. Pediatric Nurse Practitioners help Pediatricians and other Physicians diagnose and take care of children from infancy to young adults. I have grown up with ten siblings and many more cousins, so I have learned how to deal with children of all ages. Also, I have been interested in the medical field since I was a little girl and I have always loved to help people. I would have liked to be a Pediatrician but I would prefere not be in school for another thirteen years, so I found that the Pediatric Nurse Practitioner was the perfect career for me.
I have always wanted to be a nurse: I do not think there is any task that is as satisfying as treating a patient physically, psychologically, emotionally and spiritually. I first pursued my LPN, and immediately I knew I had chosen the right career path. Every day, no matter how tired and weary I felt at the end of the day, I was invigorated by the sense that I had made a positive change in the lives of my patients. To build upon my capabilities to help others, I then pursued my RN. I am currently in an RN-BSN program and hope to begin a graduate program subsequently to become a family nurse practitioner.
My career goal is to become an Occupational Therapist and specialize in pediatrics. I want to specialize in pediatrics because I have always loved to be around children and be able to help them in whatever they need. Also, pediatrics is important to me because kids are our future and if I can help kids for their future I will be glad to do so. Helping kids become more independent on their activities of daily living makes me happy because I am helping them to become more independent and make them feel like they can accomplish anything. In order to be able to do this I have to get a Master Degree and I plan on getting this degree from Loma Linda University. In five years I see myself working in the Occupational Therapy setting and working with kids. I see myself, making others
The career path I have chosen to take is in the medical field. My dream from a young age was always to be a nurse. A nurse is a healthcare professional who is focused on caring for people, and making sure that they manage, maintain, and recover patients to the finest state of health (What is Nursing, par.1). Nursing makes up a vast majority of the healthcare industry. There is a huge range of nursing specialties. Nurses work in General and surgical Hospitals, doctor’s offices, nursing care facilities, outpatient facilities, and home health services (Why Be a Nurse, par. 2). Nursing is an extremely flexible career, with one hundred and four specialties and a lot of advanced nursing degrees, so there is something for everyone in this field (Why Be a Nurse, par. 4). Nurses do much more than just help people heal physically. Nurses are there to make sure patients are taken care of physically and emotionally. There are different levels of
I aspire to become a nurse through the wonderful BSN program at California Baptist University. Why I aspire to be a nurse is because I want to be a useful person in this world. There are very few careers where you can have such a tremendous impact on someone's life every day. Working hard to make a difference in people's lives who are in need. Also health sciences is a topic that really interest me, learning about the human body and how we function is very fascinating. I hope to reach my highest potential in education with the help of California Baptist University.
I have had a passion for becoming a healthcare provider for children for quite a while (for a long time). Children are one of the most important individuals of society because they are the future and will one day be in charge of the world. Their health at a young age is indicative to how their health will be as adults. Childhood has a great effect on how a person turns out to be so I hope to help children I hope to use prevention and education to preserve and restore the health of my patients. My career goals are to prevent children from having to spend time in hospitals or in pain and to help them live out their life and dreams to the fullest extent. Children play a very large role in their families, and when a child becomes sick, the whole family becomes distressed. Pediatricians not only heal children, but they help and prevent a family from suffering. I love medicine and children, and I hope to combine these two passions by becoming a pediatrician.
I am a hardworking student who is highly motivated to go to college and pursue a nursing career. I try my best to be the most responsible person I can be by always completing all the duties and responsibilities that need to be completed. I am able to learn and memorize information in a short amount of time and be able to remember it afterward. These qualities can be very beneficial when it comes to succeeding in college. I am the type of person who does not give up and always tries to find a way out of any situation. I believe I am a very patient person and willing to help anybody and believe this is important when it comes to pursuing a nursing career. I believe the qualities I have developed throughout the years will help me be able to succeed
My dream is to become a neonatal nurse so I can directly aid in the treatment of infants born with a life-threatening illness, birth defects, and those put at risk from premature births. This is a cause close to my heart as my mother has worked with children who suffer from a plethora of birth defects for many years at Spring Creek Elementary School where I have had the pleasure to volunteer on many occasions. These children have their own personal battles that they fight every single day, they do it with smiles on their faces and love in their hearts and it's with the help of the medical staff that fought for them at birth that they are here today to share their love with the rest of the world. This is the nurse I intend to be.
From those goals, I chose to be a pediatric nurse. It is hard to make a decision on which way should I major in but it is important to follow our heart when we have to make a decision on anything we do. I chose pediatric nurse because I know that pediatric nurse is what I wanted to be, what I love to do, and what makes me happy. I know how much important it is and how much beneficial for everyone. I found myself to be a pediatric nurse as my career because the pediatric nurse gave a great beneficial for every human life, it brought us a good salary, and give us a connection with
