FBI BAU: Improving The Future Of My Future

I know how it feels to not have justice given or not get the help you deserve. I hope that doing this training will give me a jumpstart on pursuing my career and that it’ll help my resume in the future. I also hope that when I do this training I learn the true meaning of being an FBI Agent and I learn what it takes to be an FBI Agent. I am really interested in learning what an FBI’s job is and how they have to do their job and what duties they have to perform to be able to make this world a safer place. I hope that I can learn about the different scholarships available to kids like me that wish to further their education in the area of Law Enforcement. My dream is to get into a good college that will lead me to the right path of pursuing my dream. I want to prove to myself that I have what it takes to become an FBI agent and show myself that I have the qualities needed to become an FBI agent. My mother has always asked me what I wanted to be when I get older. For so many years I was not able not able to answer this question. She is not the only one that have asked me this question. I have found that this question has become to be common to many of us. On the other hand, after working for fifteen years as a security officer, I know exactly what I want to do with my life. I believe I would be a good candidate for the FBI Citizen's Academy because I very involved with youth in the high school I work in. I truly believe that all teenagers have the ability to be active and productive citizens of their community. Some of the youth need more guidance than others. I would love to continue to show how and why it is important that the decisions they make today will affect their futures.

It’s 3am, in a dark, abandoned building. There’s dirty children’s clothes and toys as if they have been there for months. An investigation by the FBI has led authorities to believe that a man has taken 7 year old Jackson that has been missing for 37 hours and is currently hiding out. As the SWAT team gets in position and waits for the signal. The FBI agent gives them the signal and the SWAT team bombards the building and quickly puts the suspect on to the ground. Both characters are constantly convincing others to allow for their dreams to come true and are optimistic that one day their dreams will develop. The Federal Bureau of Investigation, FBI, is a law enforcement and national security organization. “The mission of the FBI is to protect and defend the United States against terrorist and foreign intelligence threats, to uphold and enforce the criminal laws of the United States, and to provide leadership and criminal justice services to federal, state, municipal, and international agencies and partners” (“Quick Facts”). There are many different qualifications and requirements to become an FBI Special Agent but the salary and career outlook make them worth it.

The opportunity of murders and crimes can stop from the Federal Bureau of Investigation or FBI. Incarcerations make the world be a better place. The pleasure of stopping terrorism and other acts of delinquency or any other crimes of major priority would feel amazing. Imagine a family dies because the help that was not provided. The career of being an FBI was chosen to improve the world and make the streets safe from rapists and murderers.

Being an FBI agent is a very tough and strenuous job. Becoming an FBI agent is a whole other accomplishment in itself. To become an FBI agent you would need to have a superb background with the law enforcement. If you have no background in law enforcement this will not be the career for you. An FBI agent works mainly with criminal investigation, long desk hours just doing research (FBI agent, 2014). Also having good communication skills would be a good trait to have. You will have to be able to calm people down in high stress situations or just be able to talk to someone from another country. An FBI agent needs to have an absolute understanding of their job duty, they are required to have a certain level of education, and they will need to acquire some useful skills to help them out.

What is the FBI? What do they do? Well there are several job to do with the FBI, one of them is called Federal Agent. There are many other jobs out there to do with the FBI but the one that this paper is going to be looking at is the Federal Agent. Becoming a Federal Agent is an interesting career because you then get to be apart of the FBI and they get to work all the time with criminals. It would be just like watching Criminal Minds.

For my career I chose to do FBI field agent. I want to do this because I always wanted to do something with the government. My mom worked with the government and got to meet tons of celebrities. My brother-in-law is in special forces and told me some things he did that I think is interesting.

Personally, I would be satisfied being in the law enforcement career because it can help people and to me it’s doing something great with my life.

I would like to be enrolled in the law enforcement program as I would like to gain more knowledge about the background, applied skills, and specialized knowledge that a law enforcement occupation would acquire. This program would also allow me to gain exposure to various criminal justice careers and would benefit me and my future goals of becoming a police officer, as I see myself upholding the law. I also have the motivation and drive of keeping the people around me and my surroundings safer, while dealing with unexpected situations. The Justice Institute would allow me to achieve the greatest output of work and obtain hands on experience and awareness of the criminal justice system, showcasing what a law enforcement related field is like.

My dream career is to be a criminologist. My interest sparked when I became interested in the mind and human behavior ever since grade school. Criminology is the study of crimes, effects, and social impact on society. Criminologist job is to observe the behavior of criminals and seek out why the crime was committed, this is in order to reduce the rate of future criminal behavior. Their job duties also include writing research paper and articles. This is a job that I feel that I will pursue because of my love for writing and also my desire to better our society. There are many different jobs you can have as a criminologist. There are specific ones such as a profiling. Profiling is when you spend most of your job as a criminologist looking into old cases, which will help you with your current criminal. As a profiler when you gather your new information you then identify the crime trend and motive behind specific crimes.Profiling is the job that I would like to do as a criminologist. Another job that criminologist can have research and academia. Many criminologists dedicate their time to being strictly researchers.

My goal in life is to be a great friend and wife to my fiancé. An exceptional and admirable mother that teaches her children not just right and wrong, but how to be healthy, happy, successful, responsible adults who can do the same for their families. I don’t want to lose sight of who I am and the person I am meant to be in the process. All the while, enjoying every bit of life and making every moment count.
