Goals I want to achieve With this course: The ultimate goal would be to learn as much information as possible, so it could translate to my work when I become a PTA. I want to learn information about the history of physical therapy, because not only does it interest me, it gives me a solid foundation of knowledge about the profession itself. I want to achieve excellence in this course, in order to progress to the next section of knowledge adequately. My goal is to do well in every aspect of the class, and if need be ask for help if it becomes necessary. I intend to not only meet my goals, but to go above and beyond my own expectations. My general goal for this course is simply to expand my knowledge in order to progress to the next step. I
When this class started at the beginning of this semester I was not sure I would learn a lot. The main objectives of this class were fairly simple. There were five main objectives to use and know. They are the following:
I am writing this easy to tell my plans after graduating from high school are to, Go to a two year college at Bossier Parish Community College. And I will taking Physical Therapist Assistant. Knowing math will help me in this field because in this that field you have to know math and science. Even though that math is hard for me and it is not easy to do i need to learn how to do it. I want to live a life of service. I am wasting my life if I am not making someone's life better. As a military physical therapist (PT), I would be serving those who serve me. A military PT has the unique opportunity to learn how to practice physical therapy as well as lead in the military.
From a young age, I have always wanted to understand other people’s thoughts and feelings. As I have grown older, I have grown even more curious about not only understanding people, but learning how to help them. With this guiding me, my future career goal is to become an Occupational Therapist. Occupational Therapists work with a wide variety of people to help them overcome obstacles in their lives in order to achieve a better quality of life. I specifically hope to work with young children, adolescents, and teens who suffer from emotional, mental, or cognitive impairments. This is due to growing up in a family who fostered challenged children, having siblings with their own challenges, and having many young friends who could have benefitted
As a PTA I have been given a breath of knowledge in regard to the profession of physical therapy. However, I am not satisfied with this breath of knowledge. I yearn for the opportunity to gain a further understanding in terms of “how and why” physical therapy is successful at restoring function to individuals seeking
My career goal is to have my own Physical Therapy practice, and to be my own boss. I want to help revolutionize the ways in which medical personnel approach their patients, as there tends to be a disconnection between patients and medical staff. One of the biggest challenges I will likely face is owning my own practice, because I would first need to work under another company until I gain enough experience and financial wellness to open my own office. However, money and experience are only a small portion of making my business and my vision successful. I will need to be diligent in my pursuits, despite any setbacks that may occur, in an effort to help my practice thrive. My patients will be my number one concern in this respect. If I implement
Therefore, the classes I have taken during my college tenure will be invaluable for the rest of my life. For example, the classes I took emphasized the importance of researching, writing, emailing, internet usage, shadowing, talking to clients, and writing reports, all which are mandatory as a PTOT. I enjoyed interviewing experienced colleagues already in the field to experience what really happens daily in a PTOT’s work environment and by visiting their work sites, watching how they interact
I want to be a medical assistant because I love helping people and I want to make a difference. I hope my smile will be contagious and actually help someone through their day. There is so much hurt and pain in the world and too many people turning their backs on each other. A little kindness, happiness, and love can go a long way. I may only be me, but I refuse to give up and sometimes it only takes one to make a difference. I will strive to be the best and expect more. Patients need more than a treatment plan because they also need to be surrounded by hope, confidence, and respect. I want others to not be afraid to lead by example and prove that being a CMA (AAMA) is the greatest medical profession one can be. Becoming a Certified Medical
While I shadowed Janet, I noticed that there was a multitude of tedious documentation that she was required to record. She explained that she spends numerous hours outside of work completing this documentation. Aside from the overwhelming amount of documentation, I felt that I could potentially enjoy working in the field of physical therapy. Janet is able to truly work with patients one-on-one and it was heartwarming to see the excitement that Janet expressed when her patients showed progress. As the year progresses, I plan to look into the steps required to become a physical
Unit one has been a lot of history for the starting occupational therapy to some reasons why occupation therapy is around. It also hit on some basic terms to know that occupational therapist use. I have learned a lot as far as the history behind occupational therapy and the founders of this therapy service. One thing I found very interesting was that the actual process it took for occupational therapy to become a actual thing. Such as what occupational therapy is actually based upon: a holistic base. Being that occupational therapy helps with mental illness' makes the whole career a lot more interesting to me. Before taking this class I had no clue that occupational therapy was based on such high morals or standards.
My major is Kinesiology and with my degree I hope to become an athletic director. The main reason why I am taking this course is for my minor where I plan to have a background with Health Service Admission.
I chose the PTA program because: The PTA program seemed like the most feasible option for my lifestyle choices. I’m a very active runner and weight lifter, so I would say knowledge of physical therapy will not only relate to my life, but it will also help me in the future. It seems as though the PTA program provides students with adequate information to pass the NPTAE exam, as passing rates are relatively high. The employment rates are also very high for those who pass the NPTAE exam. I feel that while the PTA program may not be easy, it will certainly be worthwhile. The fact that the PTA program at Mount Aloysius is CAPTE accredited is also of great importance. I also chose the PTA program because I enjoy helping people, I think the world
A Physical therapist is a highly educated, licensed health care professional that can help patients reduce pain and improve or restore mobility. They can teach patients how to prevent or manage their condition so that they will achieve long-term health benefits. To become a physical therapist one must go through years of school and training. My goal of becoming a physical therapist has been my main goal ever since high school. Being in a swim team and helping others out as a lifeguard has motivated to into helping athletes and people with disabilities. To me, working with people would be a fantastic career field for me to pursue. Reaching this goal is harder than most career goals. I will have to go through a pool of candidates that are has motivated as me. This goal that I am trying to accomplish will need a hundred percent of my effort in school and the field itself. Finding “connections in the field of physical therapy will help you find a job faster. Many people will try to get a spot in the career that I want and for me to accomplish my goal, I must be a better candidate than the others.
In the beginning, I was not completely sure if this was what I wanted to do in life, but over time I became more confident in this grand goal and more confident in myself. Each course would teach me something new about education and about me personally. I am thankful for every educator who helped me along the way and showed me that I am not wasting my time with these classes and with this profession as a whole. My target is in sight and with a little more work, I will be making a change like I always dreamed. Every course I complete is another piece of a dignified puzzle and I am proud of the pieces I have gathered so
My course was unlike most classes I have taken in college. This course educates me on issues in health care, professionalism, regulation, health safety, and quality. I feel like this course has made me understand the importance of professionalism in healthcare. This course has also taught me to attain a high standard in my medical profession. I have gained more knowledge of the responsibilities of medical professional in healthcare. I have gained an understating on the issue of accreditation, certification, and licensure, and it 's impact on my profession.
