If there's anything I want to change this year is to have better grades! I know I can have a 4.0 I just need to try harder in my classes. I use to have better grades in middle school then high school but that needs to change. This year I want to become a better volleyball player, I may not be the best but I can be with practice just keep on practicing and never quit that shows a lot of character into someone. Just this year I want it to be better and wonderful, I'm turning 15 this year my quinceanera is less than 2 months away and I'm super excited! I also want to interact more with the world, being on my phone is a problem. I want to change that, get distracted by doing exercise, playing softball with my brother, anything to get me away from
That I become more responsible, and procrastinate less than I currently do now, if at all, as I tend to do frequently. I hope that I change, and not just educationally. I want to have figured myself out, or at least have an idea of what I want my future to become. I want to be prepared for my big change, for my cocoon. By the end of this school year, I plan to have surrounded myself with friends who will help transform myself into a better me. To bring out my best and help bring out the best in others. Finally, I want to leave 9th grade feeling proud of myself and everything that I've achieved over the school year. If you're not proud, then what's the
It was time. Time for her big day. The day she has been waiting for her whole life. The day that was all for her. The day where she can have fun and hang out with everyone she loves. The day she will never forget.
Anywhere form the young girl waltzing with her father, surrounded by family and friends, because she officially a miss. To the nervous gentleman knocking on his girlfriend’s parent’s home determined to ask for her hand in marriage. Even the small altar set up yearly on Nov 1st to remember the loved ones that are no longer here. These are all customs, beliefs, that Mexicans as a culture have embraced for generations. A quinceanera, a proposal, and the day of the dead are celebrated a certain way. It’s a
All birthdays are special. Birthdays celebrate life and the passing of time. In a young Mexican girl life, there is no birthday more important then her quinceañera. The quinceañera is a celebration of a girl’s journey into womanhood. The story of my fifteenth birthday is contributed for a better understanding of how special it is to celebrate a girl’s transformation into a lady, and how it differs from any other birthday she celebrates.
The people should maintain that tradition of the quinceañera. It is very important to keep this tradition because it is very great there your no longer a kid and your a woman. You can stand up for yourself and dont need you parents to stick up for you. It has been around for so long and loosing it would be horrible to lose it. If we show this tradition to our kids and they show it to there kid and so on, it will last a long time and other people will be able to celebrate it an have fun at the partys. Me an dmy whole family support it. We even planed my sisters quinceañera. That was my first time at a quinceañera. Sience then I have been wanting one. MY mom said that when I turn 15 i will have the best one. That is why I think we should keep
When choosing the right dress, you should consider looking for the dress that perfectly fits your body and in which you feel completely comfortable. Besides if the young girl would want to add volume from the waist down, a puffy tulle dress will produce the desired effect. In addition, if you want to narrow your silhouette, it is recommended A-line dresses, corsets, imperial cut dresses, or dresses created with plain or undecorated material. The neckline can be in several forms such as V-shaped, a low round cut, or a halter. If the quinceañera will wear a backless dress, it would preferably be either strapless or contain thin straps. Yet all the choices should be considered according to their budget, in which they will determine if they would
It is finally the day for my Quinceanera and my dream is finally coming true! I am at Wrigley Field! There is no where else I would rather spend this time with my friends and family than at the place of my dreams. Wrigley Field is home to the Chicago Cubs and i have nothing less of an obsession! As i walk around the stadium, the decorations blow my mind. There are balloons everywhere. Happy 15th Birthday Lauren is written in the Ivy Wall with lights. The scoreboard has everyone in my court's name and shows their picture as they walk out of the dugout, around the bases, and then line up going down the baseline. They would each be escorted by a date. My court includes Caroline McDaniel, Kaitlin Gibson, Carleigh Cameron, Riley Harcrow, Dylan Fondren, and Sydney Kilpatrick. Then it is time for my grand entrance. My dress would be white with a blinged out red and blue 23 on the back. I would of course be wearing a
Throughout history, most young girls have a Quinceanera which is a special occasion and traditional celebration of a young girl turning fifteen on her birthday and making a transition from child to adult. Reached maturity and eligibility for marriage, which has been custom in most countries. A Quinceanera is something that started many years ago when a Spanish conqueror brought the tradition to Mexico and other countries. Throughout most countries, parents don’t celebrate their daughter’s fifteenth birthday by having a Quinceanera; they celebrated daughter’s birthday differently from other countries. While in countries like Mexico, Puerto Rico, Cuba, Central, and South America are the only ones who celebrate their daughter’s
It is customary for all Latin American cultures to celebrate a coming of age party for their daughters called a quinceanera. Parents commemorate their beloved daughter’s transition from being a little girl to becoming a fifteen year old young lady by inviting family and friends to join in this huge event. A modern day young lady is celebrated with a ceremony, grand party with extravagant decorations, exquisite food, memorable toasts form the godparents, and usually wrapped up with a funky dance. Every little girl awaits the day when she will be treated and given the attention of a princess for a day. It was my pleasure to attend my cousin Daira’s quinceanera, and witness my first quinceanera in Mexico.
My Quinceanera. What is it? Why is it so important to me? A Quinceanera is special, not only to me but to other girls also, but why? Why is a big party so important to someone? That is the thing. People usually view it as a party only. In many cases the girl that is turning fifteen doesn’t even know the significance to it. It’s more than a party. If you view a Quinceanera from a different perspective it’s actually very meaningful and beautiful.
This year I hope to accomplish many things. I want to do the best I can in school and have fun. I came here with many good friends. This year I want to meet new friends which I already have a lot. I am hoping to make the Fremont basketball team. Many of my teammates which are tenth grades are on the team and I am looking forward to playing with them on the Fremont team. I am also looking forward to my AAU team. My family is going to buy a dog for the first time which I am very excited for. I want to be with my friends and make the most of highschool.
As long as young women and their families feel a need to offer a celebration, a thanksgiving for life and to mark a youth's transition into adulthood, Quinceañeras will continue to be celebrated.” While the traditional customs of the ceremony may change, the significance is still prominent in Mexican culture. The traditional Quinceañera has been modified due to outside influences. These cultural influences encourage a more modern celebration of women. Instead of celebrating being ready for marriage, the ceremony has shifted to celebrate the women’s life events and culture. Many women may be feel more comfortable to celebrating in their thirty’s because they are more mature. At thirty the women are able to decide for themselves when they feel
A quinceañera is a celebration of a girl's fifteenth birthday and her transition from childhood to adulthood. It was that time of year that my sister was turning fifteenth and my parents watch how parents stress when it comes to planning. They were thinking of hiring a party planner to be stress free; but I told them to save that money; therefore,
. The day of my Quinceanera started early. I had just turned 15 and it was the birthday I had always dreamed of. I was always a dama in other Quinceanera’s, but now it was time for my own celebration. In Mexican culture, a dama is just like a bridesmaid. I had 14 of my closest friends as my dama’s to be a part of my “court of honor”. All 14 girls wore beautiful hot pink dresses and had polished hairstyles. The girls looked like beautiful dolls. When my mother was a little girl she had two Quinceanera’s. One celebration took place in Mexico and the other here in California. Looking back at my
Goal’s I have a lot of them but for 8th grade I only have a few. Most of my goals are for my life time for when I get older and grown. I don’t want to struggle like do now with work.
