At 9:02 a.m., a truck that Timothy McVeigh had rented, which was filled with all of the explosives, detonated in front of the Alfred P. Murrah Federal Building. The explosion was extremely powerful. It blew off the entire north wall of the building. Many buildings in the immediate area were also destroyed.
