Those who follow Islam are called Muslim. Muslims believe that there is only one God. The Arabic word for God is Allah.” There is really no difference between there and Christianity or Catholicism, they all believe in one god and two of them believe that their messiahs have already come and spread the word of their gods. There are instances were people commit terrorist attacks on citizens or people that they have personal issues with and claiming to be apart of a terrorist organization like ISIS. For example there was a shooting recently in Orlando Florida where the culprit targeted homosexual, killing 49 people and wounded 53 others. At first people who heard about it assumed that there was a connection with ISIS and later found out that it was indeed a hate crime. This happened because this specific terrorist group is relevant. The experience of these bullies is effecting the entire Islamic culture. Muslim citizens all over the world are now fearful of freely expressing their traditions, because they're worried that they will be shunned and hated for there “resemblance” the these different terrorist organizations. Back in the mid-1500s the Roman Empire persecuted any suspected Christians so throughout the world people had to his there faith in their god in fear of both their and their families death. “Long after the threat of persecution has past hidden christians in Japan are still closeted. …show more content…
In each requirement they are provoked in some way, that's not it though they also have ways for conducting war. They believe that it should be handled in a disciplined way so they don't injure non combatants with minimal amounts of force, then treating prisoners of war without anger and as humane as the can. This I just evidence of how peaceful this culture is and how their views and beliefs are the polar opposite of what ISIS feels is justified. Just because they are relatively close in in likeness and lived in similar circumstances they've been nurtured in totally different ways, children of ISIS grew up learning and believing that it takes force to spread the word of their god. In their eyes anyone who doesn't believe in their god are heathens and sinners. The things that we do, the things we eat, and make, even the things we say. These people's traditions and culture contradicts the American way of life, free will, free expression of feeling and both men and women can have the same job, women can even be the main source of income for their families. There's also the fact people in America are wasteful and are sluggish people in there

ISIS stands for Islamic State of Iraq and Syria. It is referred as a terrorist group by the United States, whereas ISIS considers themselves to be an army instead. ISIS has been responsible for many gruesome attacks all over the world one of them being the execution of Jordanian pilot Moaz al-Kasasbeh. They originated from Al-Qaeda in Iraq but they had big ambitions by kicking America out and setting up an Islamic state. To this date hold their land there unlike other groups like Al-Qaeda and Taliban. They have a huge support from people as their count being over 30,000 soldiers and followers. They are heavily armed, can fund themselves, have an organized infrastructure, and can cause a lot of damage. Later in 2006, their brutality lost them the support of Iraqi Sunnis who partnered with US forces to help push them out of the country. And for this incident, America takes a lot of credit for this and call it the Surge in which they helped Sunnis rise up against Al-Qaeda in Iraq’s rule. This led to Al-Qaeda in Iraq being defeated but not destroyed by only being driven out of the land they used to control and later they began rebuilding themselves by being involved in the fighting in Syria as they were trying to throw the Shiite Assad regime. Due to their brutal and severe tactics, Al-Qaeda disavowed Al-Qaeda in Iraq. Later in February 2014, the group Al-Qaeda in Iraq
The beginnings of ISIS,a Sunni jihadist group, can be traced back to 1999, when Abu Musab al-Zarqawi, a Jordanian jihadist, started the group . In 2010, after ISIS’s second leader was assassinated, Abu Bakr al-Baghdadi,a former scholar of Islamic studies and a US war prisoner back in 2004,took over and got the group back on track. He replenished their partially-killed-off leadership with dozens of Saddam’s old Ba’athist military personnel, who brought key experience to the group. Then in 2011, when the Syrian Civil War broke out, ISIS joined in as a rebel force, which helped to train and battle-harden the group. ISIS’s behavior in Syria was so brutal and severe that they even started creeping out the other groups, including al-Qaeda, who finally had a tantrum in early 2014 and cut all ties with ISIS. The ISIS, like all terrorist organizations, arose out of systems of discontent that made extremist ideology appealing. The extremist ideology of ISIS is an aberration of Islam marked by radical apocalyptic thought. The ISIS’s position is antithetical to Shia Islam, which believes that just as a prophet is appointed by God alone, only God has the prerogative to appoint the successor to his prophet (the caliphate).

The main topic of this article is ISIS has become the most dangerous ,most vulnerable terrorist group in the entire history of the USA. The article is about how ISIS has been intimidating the USA in many different ways such as beheadings and suicide bombings. The only problem is that ISIS is targeting not only the Iraqi government and the American forces in Iraq but as well as Shia Muslims , Christians and increasingly, civilians of all faiths in unpredictable that include violent attacks such as the one's I mention, beheadings and suicidal bombing. The USA is mostly attacking instead of thinking over ways to intimidate and scare ISIS but the problem is that are in a place where all people can do is talk to impress others but do not act like they should be instead of wasting time on talking.
ISIS is a mysterious but well publicized group of people, that mainly covers the Middle East with force. The Islamic State is unknown and yet to be discovered by the United States government. People across Europe are joining ISIS, many are regular citizens around the world, but some become psychopaths and cause ISIS to control places with supreme radical tactics. The group is becoming more powerful and modernized as time goes on. This is leading up to a world wide crisis based on what ISIS really is and what they want. Throughout the article What ISIS Really Wants, Graeme Woods shows that ISIS is a very dominant/threatening group, and wants to be known.
ISIS is a terrorist organization and perhaps the most successful one. They have seized huge chunks of Syria and Iraq. They are an anti-western militant group devoted to establishing an independent Muslim Islamic state but no country recognizes them as a state. People have been shot and killed in the name of ISIS because they have a different political or religious viewpoint. ISIS believes religion gives them the right to attack others with differing political views. ISIS is an example of how certain beliefs can start a war. Wars are started for many reasons but they often start because of a group’s strongly held belief surrounding religion, race or political views. Wars or conflicts hurt and kill millions of people. But certain groups feel
For one they made muslim females unable to go outside without being accompanied by a father or a husband. Thievery was punishable by amputation of the hands, ISIS has banned alcohol, cigarettes, and drugs. While this seems like a good idea (not the amputation) the punishment is much worst. Some of these rules. If you break them, will reward you with a public execution. Sounds great right? But they have also been straight out murdering people for not acceptable to their standards as well. In one case they threw a man to his death, blindfolded and tied up, off a very tall building because they suspected that he was homosexual. As for criminals other than thieves; they get crucified. ISIS is also using slaves as a source of income. They have sold and captured 4,000 or more slaves. But this is only just one way ISIS funds itself. ISIS also gets its money from selling oil, ransoms, bank robberies, and taxes for funds. ISIS’ way to spread out what they have done is successful. They use social media or videos and post them so people can learn what they did. America has realized what ISIS has done and is now taking action against
This topic is relevant today because it is happening today. With the rise of the terrorist group, ISIS, we wonder what will happen to the world and if WW3 could happen. So if we learn from our mistakes, we can pass it and try to stop the newest threats today. History will repeat itself if we do not learn from it. We have a group that is ruthlessly slaughtering people, which is like the Nazi’s did to the Jews. So the topic is relevant today because if we do not learn from history, it will repeat itself, so by learning from this terrible time on the world, we can stop the new groups that might do the same thing.
“The panicked reactions, fanned by right-wing politicians in the United States and Europe, to ‘declare war’ on the Islamic State are mostly just noise. None of those proposing that kind of response offer the slightest idea of how it would be done; all they have is an understandable desire, which we share, to obliterate the terrorist group also known as ISIS,” wrote the New York Times editorial board. Syria fell under a French Mandate after the dissolution of the Ottoman Empire following World War I, and then struggled to achieve independence. The Assad family used repressive police state measures to ensure a stable government in Syria. An increase of opposition caused Bashar al-Assad to inflict more brutality and dictatorship.
ISIS is a very prominent thing that we hear about today. A lot of people don’t fully understand what ISIS is, ISIS stands for Islamic state in Iraq and Syria. Which means that ISIS is trying to convert and take over all of Iraq and all of Syria. They are doing this by killing, capturing, and terrorizing innocent civilians. These are people that have done nothing to deserve this. They are also destroying all of the land that they come in contact with. Most of which being sacred, timeless land that is what we would consider and landmark.
