This method of shopping would be very convenient for the consumers and would also increase their revenue gradually. USAA Savings Bank has been around for a long time believe it or not. In 1922 USAA was originally founded in San Antonio, Texas when 25 Army officers decided to come together and insure each other’s automobiles. William Garrison was USAA’s first elected president. Shortly after that USAA’s first employee was Harold Dunton, who was hired as a general manager. Major Walter Moore purchased the first automobile insurance policy for $114.74 and became USAA’s first member. Two years later in 1924 USAA printed their first credo. The company motto was “Service to the Services.” 1928 was the year that USAA started advertising 8,000 active component service members

On a scale of 1-10 I would rate the city of Olympia as a 5 according to the Smart Growth Principles. Some of the general weakness this city has, would be providing a variety of transportation choices, taking advantage of compact building designs, and creating walkable neighborhoods. While Olympia does provide and promote more efficient and green types of lifestyles, I have noticed that the city as a whole fails to accommodate viable transportation options, yes we have a public transportation system but the biking and walking options are lacking throughout the west, east, and downtown areas. Our buildings aren't necessarily compact they take up space horizontally, and majority of the parking is surface as opposed to structural.

The restaurant industry is said to be one of the oldest industries in the economy. As the economy and urbanization grow, so too does the industry of restaurants; it’s for this reason that the industry has been growing at a rapid pace. Even with the restaurant industry ebbing and flowing, there are still new entities entering the fray consistently. Some restaurants may close, but it will not be too long before a new restaurant opens in the place of the old one. Historically, the restaurant industry has contributed nearly 4 percent to the gross domestic product (GDP) of the United States (U.S.) economy. The most recent findings show that the restaurant industry employs more than 12.7 million people (which is approximately equal to 9 percent of the

One night in 1981, Jeff Munks, a police office in San Jose, CA responded to an urgent call and arrived at a residence where a Vietnamese immigrant who spoke no English was screaming and waving his arms agitatedly. Next to him, his son was having trouble breathing. After Jeff guessed what had been happening and immediately called for an ambulance, he kept thinking about emergency situations where danger is exacerbated because of a language barrier. The paper presents an analysis of the different factors influencing the restaurant industry and how these factors increase or decrease the demand for such services. The hypothesis that will be examined is that the performance of restaurants is mostly based on the type of food chosen by customers when they decide to go out for dinner, lunch, breakfast, or simply for a snack. What type of food refers mainly the nationality or concept of the food, (traditional American, Italian, Indian, Latin, or from any other type of culture). This factor is important because when customers go out to for dinner; they decide what to eat before deciding where to eat. That is why this factor is considerably important according to the hypothesis.
