The aim of the ‘practical assessment’ is to examine a candidate’s ability to complete a health and safety assessment of a workplace. A candidate need to observe and submit a report to the management based on the observed hazards

1.2 Identify the lines of responsibility and reporting for health and safety in the work setting
Changing circumstances within the workplace can cause hazards because other workers can be put at risk because they haven’t been made aware of the changes and management needs to be informed. Risk assessment is a method put in place that is suitable and sufficient to control the risk to health and safety to both employees and other persons who may be affected.
Task 4Ensuring health and safety is an important responsibility not only for the Managers but all associated with the premises. She/he may well have used all the correct products and massage movements but during the assessment She/he may not have been given the opportunity to sell a product in which case the candidate will have passed some elements of the unit chosen but because she couldn’t sell a product that part of the unit will have to be referred to another assessment but the candidate will

This task requires you to carry out a risk assessment in a work environment. Include the full risk assessment as part of the information you include in your submission. A Care Plan for a service user based on the information will be provided and you will be required to evaluate the risk and make recommendations on improving the Care Plan.
1.4 Identify the lines of responsibility and reporting for health and safety in the setting
The assessment process is the back bone to any package of care and it is vital that it is personal and appropriate to the individual concerned. Although studies have found that there is no singular theory or understanding as to what the purpose of assessment is, there are different approaches and forms of assessment carried out in health and social care. These different approaches can sometimes result in different outcomes.
