ikes Peak is a big, tall, rocky, and beautiful mountain with a fantastic view. As my family and I started driving up the mountain the sun was shining so bright it was a nice warm summer day. The roads are so curvy going up the mountain which is creepy; if put on the outside rail. First it was a beautiful pine tree forest lookout, and saw all these different animal signs. A quarter of the way up we saw a strange sign saying Bigfoot Crossing, so we had to get a picture with it. Once we got out of the forest it got really cliffy and we got really close to the edge which is a little frightening, but it is an amazing view, so it is worth it. Lakes were cool to see, there are three of them and the are really big. As we got higher up the view was
After three hours of of hiking what felt like a vertical slope, the top of Mount Haystack was right in front of me. I knew that I could keep pushing through because I had suffered so much worse before. I wasn’t about to let this mere incline prevent me from reaching the top. I powered through the aching muscles and throbbing knees, while ignoring the sharp radiating pain in my calves. After what felt like forever, I was standing 5260 ft above the sea and taking in a spectacular view. When I glanced to my left, I realized I wasn’t quite at the top, I still had two more peaks to go before I’d reach the top of Lafayette. So after a few minutes of rest I got started on the rest of the hike.
Abigayle Sankovitz 10 December 2017 Final Project-Peak I found the novel, Peak, by Roland Smith to be particularily interesting and have chosen that as my final project lesson plan story to focus on. This was a story I was fortunate enough to read as a child, and it has always stuck in my mind as a compelling and interesting story, which held true through reading it once again for this course. This novel appeals to both male and females, and although it is an action/adventure females and males both are able to find a way to become engaged while reading, which is especially important when creating an interesting lesson plan. My high school used to have a camping trip to the place called big bend national park; that was a memorable journey. We used to hike over there; we spent like two or three hours to attend the highest mountain of big bend national park; you can't imagine how was the beautiful view, it was like you are standing the highest point of this national park, you can see everything you want see of this national park, there don't have anything can impede your sight line, you can see those river as very clearly, and the river is like endless, it keep extend over and over, there also have some cliff, those cliff may have different shape, they cover all the

The entire journey up the mountain is full of danger. You constantly have to worry about the oxygen you are getting and people around you are dying. The air is thin and if there is any air, it’s contaminated. You have to worry about getting the disease H.A.P.E. You have to worry about your health 24/7. You have to get past impossible obstacles. You just have to be strong. Climbing the mountain is an endless, painful battle. No matter what is happening outside of the mountain, on Mount Everest all that matters is Survival.
Captured from the top of the Daniel Boone National Forest, located in northeastern Kentucky near the city of Morehead, this featured image originates in one of the most beautiful and well kept secrets on earth. Although this location is breathtaking, efforts to capture images from the summit will certainly involve a bit hiking and climbing, but it’s definitely worth the journey. Whether it’s photography or purely for the love of a great hike, I can’t see anyone regretting making this trip. Regardless of the agenda, a striking and tranquil retreat awaits the willing adventurer.
Pikes Peak is a beautiful, rocky mountain with a fantastic view. The day my family and I were going to go up Pikes Peak the day was gorgeous. Heading up the mountain is so relaxing, having conversations with my family while looking out the tinted window. Looking out my window I could see columns and rows of the most perfect looking pine trees rising up the peak. During the climb it was so admirable and calm as I was thinking in my head, what a perfect day. The view was fantastic as I got to see the world breathing in all of the fresh air. Pikes Peak has three lakes which are very inviting with its clear blue water glistening from the sun. The lookout on the very tip of Pikes Peak was very foggy and chilly. The view was pretty cool since I’ve

I am currently taking SPAN 1022 and even though it is only the second week I am really struggling. I am having great difficulty with the class and want to discuss how I can complete my second language requirement. I want to discuss my options for possibly taking Spanish at a community college over the summer and how that would fit into my scheduling. Overall, I want to talk about how I can put myself in the best position to succeed.

The mountains were tall (11,000 feet +) and covered with bright powdery snow. It was like nothing I had ever seen before. I was eager to set-up camp and prepare for our nine day hunt. But, Dad said that we had to drive around and check out all the good places, just to make sure that we were in
About 18 miles North East of Manhattan there isn’t much around but small hills covered in crop fields and the occasional farmstead. If you drive just a little ways up King Road, just off highway 13 you will find a cemetery with a sign above two wire gates that says King’s Cemetery. There are three other names listed below King’s Cemetery, other names the grounds have been know as. One of these names is Adam’s Peak. This is rather strange considering the cemetery is not on a peak, nor is there a single stone bearing the name Adam. Upon further investigation you will find Adam’s Peak was, during the 1870’s and 80’s, a town and community.
