Some people, have supported this project, and some people do not support this work. The Minuteman Project began in 2005 by Jim Gilchrist. In 2005 election of the project, Gilchrist though he would lose in this election, he was in the third rank by receiving 25% of the vote. In 2007, Gilchrist was removed as the boss of the project because of the claims of fraud and bad management of funds. Besides patrolling the border for illegal immigrants, the members of the Project have also been protested the hiring of illegal immigrants as daily laborers, they threaten to take photographs of the illegal laborers and post them on the Internet. The illegal immigrants can not obtain work legally in the United States, they often take jobs for only a few dollars a day, which is very little income. The Minuteman Project has vowed to put an end to stop illegal migrant entering the United States, and the project asked President George Bush to build a barrier extending the United States and Mexico border.
