Illegal immigration is the act of living in a country without government permission. For years people have been crossing the border illegally, without following the proper immigration policies. Illegal immigrants come to the U.S. for a variety of reasons. Many people consider illegal immigrants a major problem for the U.S, and believe we should enforce stricter immigration laws. Others believe illegal immigrants benefit our economy, and we should loosen restrictions on immigration. There are many different causes of illegal immigration, and the effects have a very significant impact on the U.S.
One of the main reasons illegal immigrants come to America, is to seek a better life for themselves and their family. The U.S. allows people to live in freedom, and practice their own beliefs. People from other countries are very intrigued by all the opportunities the U.S. has to offer. Many pregnant women will immigrate to the U.S, so their children will have the opportunity to live a good life. The 14th Amendment, grants citizenship to anyone born in the U.S. Therefore, children born to undocumented parents in the U.S. are granted birthright citizenship. People will receive a better education living in America than most other places. Illegal immigrants can receive a college and high school education. Young people who weren’t born in the U.S may apply for DACA. DACA is a federal government program. It allows unauthorized immigrants who were brought to the U.S.
