The argument that I will be analysing for the second assignment is “ illegal pot shops should close down”. The argument is about how dangerous it is for the pot shops to operate without the official legislation. After analysing the argument I strongly agree that the argument is valid and sound because its very detailed and the premises are supporting the conclusion. In this essay I will be writing about how the argument is a strong argument with many valid premises which support the conclusion.
The premises in the argument describes the different effects that are occurring because of operating of illegal pot shops. Furthermore, there are many strong premises that are valid in the argument which are supporting the conclusion and made the argument stronger. The main premises are about why cannabis dispensaries are not safe in the Toronto neighborhoods without the

As the article states, there are many cannabis dispensaries that are operating without the legislation which is why the crimes are increasing. As the Liberal government announced the legalization of cannabis, should as soon as possible clear up the confusion for the wellbeing of everyone. I wrote each of the above premises in a pattern that follows in a form to make the argument sounds good. The premises are valid because the information given in the premises are truthful about how and why the pots shops should closedown. Also, the premises are supporting the conclusion which is the following: “after the increasing of armed robberies it’s clear that it’s too dangerous to still allow illegal cannabis dispensaries to still operate in the Toronto areas.( Star Editorial Board). The conclusion is very well supported by the majors premises in the
Evaluate the warrants (explanation of evidence) in each paragraph. Is there a balance between the evidence and warrants? Is the connection between the evidence and claim/reasons clear? Make note of any imbalance or areas of confusion.
“Are there rival causes?” (p. 128) This question helps evaluate an argument’s strength by examining any other reasonable causes
The essay will conclude by revealing through the use of evidence which was the dominant factor in the speech in gaining support

5. JUSTIFICATION FOR THE PLACE TO BE SEARCHED AND ITEMS TO BE SEIZED Marijuana is illegal to grow and distribute and Mr. Fox is doing both. His plants can be seen through the basement window _________________.
One of the author’s main reasons to support his view is that he believes the new generation of drug users are constantly trying to self medicate with drugs instead of getting help for any emotional or mental health issues. Another reason is that he advocates for the decriminalization of marijuana, which is different from legalization, as it regulates the quality and quantity, as well as place other restrictions on it like age restrictions. One of his
As the legal cannabis industry continues gaining momentum as one of the fastest growing markets in the US, cannabis businesses are now facing certain challenges. More and more, lawsuits and claims are being filed for issues ranging from inadequate warning labels, unsafe handling practices, and even wrongful death from ingesting cannabis products. It’s not just the manufacturers or growers of the cannabis products at risk – dispensary owners are also being named in these suits, even if there was no prior knowledge of any defects in the products they were selling.
Part 5: Connect the argument with facts that prove your points. Note the areas of objections and offer concessions if needed.
Read the following short essay, and then write a 3-5 page response (12-point font, double-spaced, normal margins, no cover page, no binders). Your response should do the following three things: (1) state what the main conclusion of the essay is; (2) state what the most important premises (including sub-conclusions) are—i.e., state which premises are most important if the argument is to rationally convince its audience; (3) evaluate the quality of the argument, giving detailed reasons to justify your evaluation. For purposes of evaluation, assume that the speaker is a contemporary Canadian philosopher and the audience is a group of students in Introduction to Philosophy.
The closing statements in the previous paragraph lead to the next senior reason for marijuana’s regulation: the marijuana-related crime. Marijuana’s share in the percentage of total drug arrests in California hit a high in 2010, reaching 52.1 percent. While it has ever-so-slightly fallen in the years following, it is still a substantial statistic; more than half of all drug arrests. Legalizing marijuana
The purpose of this assignment is to make us capable to argue our claims with evidences. Moreover, it also learnt to be aware of the other side of the argument by writing the counter argument.
Create an introduction that generally introduces the problem using a statistic or true narrative example. States should consider that legalizing recreational marijuana would increase the use of marijuana amongst not only adults but adolescence. This law could potentially increase crimes and the number of arrests for driving under the influence of drugs, which puts the safety of our citizens at risk. Each state should consider what the influence of legalizing marijuana will have and properly research the positive and negative impacts that this law would bring to their state’s economy, safety of citizens, and the stability of an individual as well as their family’s foundation. In order to keep our citizen, our children, and our streets safe each state should become knowledgeable of the direct impacts that this law would have and properly educate all those voting for this law.
Your thesis statement is very concise, and the reasons you chose to support your thesis statement are interesting and informative. Although you did not say much about why you chose to write about legalizing marijuana, you make your stance on the subject very clear. The quote you chose makes your argument even more compelling by mentioning specific ailments that marijuana can help treat. You also bring up recreational marijuana and the tax dollars that it would bring about; I agree that a recreational limit would be financially beneficial for this country. Due to the country's current money situation, you are able to further interest and convince the audience. By using a specific example from your own state, you give yourself more credibility
