After dinner, the men had free time until lights out at 10 P.M. The U.S. Army ran the camps, but foresters, carpenters and other people directed the work. The CCC fought forest fires, planted trees, built roads, buildings, picnic areas, swimming areas, campgrounds and created many state parks. When not working, the men socialized and had opportunities to learn crafts and skills.
In Conclusion, hangings starvations, pain, and fear were in the camp all the time and no matter how hard you tried to escape it you couldn’t and you could only get used to it or die. There meaningful because it shows how the world was and how people were doing that and what people would do and how cruel our society can
Operation FEMA Camps On October 1, 2013 Obama had signed a law passing the Obama Care to help people with healthcare, but in fact forced the government to shut down and eliminate food share to help pay for the Obama care. Due to the fact that many people rely on the government’s food share to help them survive, thousands of people were declined from Obama care and therefore had no healthcare and no food to help them survive. The Government shutdown is the beginning of Homeland security’s “ENDGAME” plan of taking away citizens’ rights and starting the martial law to have the military take over and place citizens into FEMA centers.

Auschwitz was the worst, and most well known concentration camp involved within WWII. This camp held about 25% of all prisoners in the camp “community”. Auschwitz was made up of many sub camps including its most well known one, Birkenau. The concentration camps were the pinnacle of terror for anyone to be captured. How they worked, why they were built, and the impact they had are all to come.
There, youngsters of all ages learn how to identify edible plants from harmful mushrooms; how to classify animals from their tracks and skat; how to approach and treat goats, chickens and dogs; how to tend and harvest a garden; and how to forage for supplies sturdy enough for fort-building. Most importantly, they learn to say yes to each other in an open and accepting way. With open-ended activities, every camper’s approach to exploration, investigation and questioning is equally valued. They learn that there are no best ideas. They learn that the possibilities are endless.

Belzec became the first extermination camp to become operational during World War II.
Day One: Hubert Hillmaier, Sepp Mack, Nicolas Jeager and Mingma Sherpa are starting their hike up to base camp. They are at about 20 000 ft in altitude. This hike comes with a great risk of avalanches. They are 35 miles away from other base camps. For people born at sea level, they are going very slow and having a hard time along the hike. I want to "thank you" all again for wonderful Camp Magik performances. Dr. Rene stated that they were "marvelous" and I totally agree. I've seen these shows performed on numerous occasions over the years but I never seen the emotional audience reactions in the volumes that I did on Saturday. You all really put your heart and soul into your performances and it was felt by the audience. I sincerely hope the counseling sessions afterwards were therapeutic and helpful for our young audience members and their families. Again, "Thank you" so, so much and for what it is worth, you made me extremely proud.
I started coming to Phantom Lake YMCA Camp in the summer of 2013 and I have loved it ever since. Camp has given me more opportunities than I could've ever imagined from sailing to enjoying late night hikes through the woods with my tent mates.
In the summer of 2016, I was chosen to be a camp counselor for the Muscular Dystrophy Association in Birmingham, AL. The camp was from June 29, 2016 to July 1, 2016. It was at Camp ASCCA in Alex CIty. In order to be selected, there was a lot of paperwork and interviews to be done. Each person selected to be a counselor was assigned to one child who suffered from a variety of muscular problems. Our job was to have our child to their designated activities on time, wake them up, get them dressed, and make sure they stayed fed and hydrated. The child I was assigned to could walk but she got extremely tired at times so, she wanted to use her wheelchair. The camp gave the children many opportunities to do things that they normally would not be allowed
A picture is truly worth a thousand words, but the picture I was assigned is worth so much more than that. It was taken during a time of despair, unfairness, torture, and just pure terror. I can’t truly tell you what happened in this picture at the time it was
The first scene that I thought was very compelling was when the commander ordered the the Jewish engineer to be shot while the work camp was bing built. All she was trying to do was help construct the building, and when she said the foundation needed to be poured again, the commander ordered her to be shot. He also made fun of her for being educated which I thought was ridiculous. This scene was hard to watch, especially when they actually shot her. Then, after she was dead, the commander agreed and said to redo the foundation. The fact that he had to kill her just to show his authority to those around him was disgusting. Another scene that I was moved by was when the work camp had to be separated from those who can work and are healthy and
