“And God said to them, ‘Be fruitful and multiply and fill the earth and subdue it and have dominion over the fish of the sea and over the birds of the heavens and over every living thing that moves on the earth.’” The bible tells us to “be fruitful and multiply”, however, with the earth’s growing population, our planet is beginning to see the harmful effects caused by humans. As time progressed, nations industrialized and policy and technological advancements further pushed the wave of globalization. Progress and globalization have benefited us in numerous ways, but for every action made there are consequences. So, how have humans caused environmental concerns? Well, this essay will discuss those environmental concerns, and this is important because these issues negatively affect the environment, which ultimately affects us.

As the human population continues to grow and we continue to progress, the environment suffers. Ever since the Industrial Revolution began in the eighteenth century, human actions have added to the increase in “heat-trapping gases”. This brings us to one of the most talked about issue caused by humans, pollution. Pollution is the introduction of contaminants into a natural environment which causes harm to the environment, and pollutants take form in many ways, however, the most common are water, soil, and air pollution.
