Direct manipulation has many key components to the way video games have been created and how they are manipulated today. Sometimes direct manipulation is a great thing however there are situations where command-line-interface can actually be more beneficial. We are going to discuss the primary ways that direct manipulation has affected video games and examples of how they are used inside of video game controls as well as the interface for direct manipulation and how video game interfaces operate in comparison to real world applications. We will also look into direct manipulation versus command line interface as well as problem areas for direct manipulation. Within these situations direct manipulation has been very beneficial to video games as it is the primary way that video games operate and this can be anything from a simple controller with buttons to a person physically getting up and moving the controller around or moving their body around so that away the videogame can take the feedback and input of how the videogame operates.
Direct manipulation is very beneficial for current game controls. The reasoning behind direct manipulation and current gaming controls is for the reason of manipulating the character or two in that they're playing gas to do or perform specific actions. Some games the character is able to jump and perform a double jump with a simple press of a button. In this the person can physically push a button on the controller and that character in the video

Several different factors have changed and influenced the world of gaming, including the history that is continuously being written, the people who have built the games behind the scenes, and, of course, the actual video games themselves. Numerous video games have been more successful than others, but identifying what components set the successful apart from the unsuccessful is something definitely worth observing.
The processor of the consoles has also been a key factor to the development of more real-looking violent video games. From Intel’s 4004 microprocessor up to Intel’s core 2 duo E8500 processor we have seen how computers are able to do more tasks in less time. This development has given a way for violent video games to be more free in the sense that more actions can be made, the virtual worlds are bigger and there are more objectives to be done or enemies to be eliminated.

When video games were first being introduced to the general public, they weren’t all that exciting. Most gaming took place in arcades and most arcades didn’t have many game cabinets due to their being very few games to begin with. However, all of this changed when the Atari 2600 was released. At the time, Atari was known for their home computers and their hit arcade game “Pong”. Though the Atari 2600 might not have been the first video game system, it was definitely the most successful at that time and a great success for Atari’s first attempt at a home video game console. Over the decades, game machines continuously evolved and become more and more powerful, capable of stunning visuals and graphics. In the 21st century, social media, smart phone and tablet technology entered the gaming scene. Casual games become the norm attracting previously non-gamers into the market. However, if those low-quality games were never made, the games would not have evolved into the games they are today. Creating this video game was powerful because it stamped the birth of new age cathode and what they can be used for. With this game a player could look at it
The consumer video game systems offer an exciting opportunity to discuss and analyze the design of technology based on the strategy of each of the players within the industry. We will focus our analysis on the next generation of video consoles: Nintendo’s Wii, Microsoft’s Xbox 360 and Sony PlayStation 3 (PS3).
Many video games use visuals to mentally immerse gamers into a virtual world filled with seemingly living, breathing people, animals, or cities.
