Importance Of Human Rights

There are several different human rights that are important to me. Article 1 states that “All human beings are born free and equal in dignity and rights. They are endowed with reason and conscience and should act towards one another in a spirit of brotherhood,” this is important especially to infants during their first years in life. They have been born with different rights that protects them yet they are not able to comprehend what a “right” is, as humans we trust each other to be able to defend that child when we witness their parents or care taker violating those rights. Adults are able to recognize and protect that child when they are in need the most. This also accounts for adults that have conditions that they have certain disabilities or have brain damage that leads to them having certain complications in comprehending certain things. Even though that they are not able to acknowledge or know their rights, the law protects them because its includes everyone not only certain groups. Another right is important to me is Article 18 when it states: “Everyone has the right to freedom of thought, conscience and religion; this right includes freedom to change his religion or belief, and freedom, either alone or in community with others and in public or private, to manifest his religion or belief in teaching, practice, worship and observance.” Personally religion is one of the most important aspects of who I am what I do in my everyday life.
