Immigrants are hard workers; however, the Americans are viewing the immigrants as lazy and as a burden to The United States when in actuality, research shows that, some immigrants come to The United States legally although they may not have papers to work legally when they first arrive. For many immigrants the process to get legal documentation to work is a long, tedious, and expensive process. Even though this issue is very common, many immigrants are positive and productive contributors in society. On the other hand, there are immigrants who are roaming around the streets, and looking for places to sleep on the roads. As an immigrant in any country, these things can happen to anyone, due to the fact that some immigrants do not know anyone as they migrate to a foreign land. Many immigrants are struggling and are facing many problems that come along their way as they try to become stable and achieve their goals in The United States. The United States has people coming in and out of the country every day. Most of these people are welcomed at airports and borders, and most do not intend to stay in the United States. Some of these immigrants are tourists, business visitors, students, and foreign workers. Other arrivals are refugees because they are escaping to better their future or from their countries violence and some are unauthorized or illegal foreigners. Several immigrants enter legally as tourists and then stay in the United States, but most enter the country unlawfully by eluding border patrol agents or using false documents to circumvent border inspectors. In the past, the United States was formed from many immigrants whom the Founding Fathers were descendants from and made a powerful country. Immigration is positive for the United States because there are political, economic, and multicultural benefits; therefore, immigration policy should be reformed to allow and encourage immigration.

People who are illegal immigrants, travel distances and cross borders to seek a better life while they are desperately looking for a better opportunities, they are also running away from famine, wars or violence from their homeland. For example, Mexico and most central and South America countries unfortunately have a poor economic, environmental and life is not easy to live there. These countries also still engaged in a war with various reasons. Especially; Mexican drug cartels which kills more than 80,000 people in every year. Therefore, United States being the main country that so many immigrants attract as they try to cross the border illegally. As they looking a place that provides freedom of speech and religion, steady jobs, a safe environment, and benefits for the poor and unemployed. It has become a home for many of them. “In 2012, the population of immigrants in the United States illegally is estimated to 11.43 million, rough 3.7% of the entire US population. 59% of the immigrants in the country illegally are from Mexico”. 25% of all the immigrants in the country are illegally reside in California State. As the crossing the border and the journey is hard, in 2008, 53% out of all the immigrants are males which are younger than 40 years old. Some people believes that this people deserve a chance because most of them come with a good intentions. Specifically, they just want jobs where they can get decently paid so they can support them self and their family back home.

As Senator Charles E. Schumer stated “11 million immigrants continue to live in a state of uncertainty and fear.” Charles E. Schumer is proving my claim because he is saying that not just some immigrants are afraid of getting deported everyday but most immigrants are afraid of getting deported. Of course it is possible to disagree that people are living in fear and instead say that many immigrants have jobs and travel around the United States. However, the weight of the evidence is on the other side. What must be remembered is that both natives have the same motivation to support their families and grow the economy. This is fundamentally why immigrants should get a path to citizenship so they could stop living in fear and so they could boost the economy.

Furthermore, undocumented immigrants do indeed contribute to the American economy. They and their families generate revenue as workers and consumers, and contrary to popular belief, pay the inevitable sales and property taxes. This article assumes that many do not give this problem a face a personal story. I feel that many are forced to focus on the bad stories they hear in the news that show immigrants involved in crimes. people are told to fear and beware of those who are here to still the american dream as if they are here to take what they don't deserve.

Undocumented workers are the staples of our agricultural resturant,landscaping, hospitality, and housekeeping industries. “These workers are the economic backbone of our nation(Merriman 2013)”. Immigrants play an important role in our country, there the people that bring all the money in. These immigrants are the key to a successful economy, they bring all the growth. And with them working these jobs, they make customer service at these restaurants better than ever.Not only do they bring a significant growth but they also benefit us by 6 million workers they bring.

Immigration could be potentially beneficial to the U.S. Economy. There are many reasons as to why it could be beneficial. There is information that leads to immigration being beneficial because it increases labor force productivity, non-natives take jobs that native born people do not want, and that immigration has a positive effect on GDP and long-run fiscal impact. Immigrants are here illegally and do whatever is necessary with fear of severe consequences to find opportunity in America they get here the best way they can and have so much passion to be here which people often take for granted. They come here looking for a better way of life and freedom which they don’t get back home and sacrifice a lot to do so. Immigrants leave everything behind sometimes even family and friends the jobs they work are sometimes inhumane but they do whatever to get by. They fear being caught everyday all day and take whatever precaution that’s necessary to stay out of trouble. Some immigrants even go about getting their green cards so they aren’t here illegally. It is illegal for Americans to house or protect immigrants but because people know why they are here and want to actually help people for the greater good they often break the law for what they think is a good cause (justifiable).

It also creates businesses, immigrants are more likely to start a business than native-born workers. These businesses create jobs and bring more customers into the supply chain, which in turn generates more revenue for local governments and resources for communities across America. Some people say that immigrants take our jobs and they are bad for our economy because they are willing to do jobs that americans choose not to do.
