The money that players would be rewarded that would teach life skills and provide prosperity could easily be found in the NCAA. As of right now, the NCAA has an abundance of money that they are keeping to themselves and are turning the NCAA into a monopoly. Financial analyst Tom Gerencer confirms that the NCAA athletics make $12 billion a year. Some of this money is then distributed to universities around the country to fund athletic programs and pay coaches and other staff members. The money that the NCAA does not give out is taken in as a profit for that year which is usually around $1 million.
