For as long as I can remember, I have had an undeniable passion for sports. Everything about them, good or bad, has always been very fascinating to me. That being said, it is always been a yearly tradition to tune into ESPN during the middle of the summer to watch the ESPY awards show. The ESPYs are a show in which athletes and individuals associated with professional athletics receive awards. One award in particular that is traditionally given is known as the Jimmy V Award for Perseverance. This is a unique award that is given to an individual that has shown outstanding perseverance to overcome an obstacle in their life. It is not limited to athletes and is almost always guaranteed to provide the “lump in your throat” feeling from the overwhelming obstacles the recipient has experienced. During last year’s awards show, this award and the ensuing speech touched me much deeper than I could have ever imagined. The recipient of the award was the iconic sportscaster, Stuart Scott, who had been fighting cancer for the past seven years and had continued his fight until he passed later that year. In Scott’s acceptance speech, he had a minor part where he discussed how difficult it was to continue the fight

I didn't speak to anyone else at this point in time that was present during the incident. I called Cpt. Schroeder and spoke with him. He told me he did have photos and a video that he would attach to the case from

Firstly, this transcript is not hearsay under FRE 801(d) (2) (a). It is offered not to provide the truth of the matter provided but rather to prove that these words were certainly spoken. Secondly, the former testimony expectation applies to Ms. Steinman’s testimony because it was given under oath. And thirdly, the Park crew’s hearsay is not excluded because it tends to prove the Crew’s then-existing
The theme perseverance shows up throughout the stories Susan B Anthony Dares to Vote! and Don’t Give up the Fight. The story's themes are similar because both Susan B Anthony and Ava are persevering through what seems like torture in their lives. Even though the theme is the same, the stories, both are different because Susan B Anthony is persevering through a much more difficult and much bigger problem than Ava. For example, Susan B Anthony has a more severe problem such as being sentenced to jail while in Don’t Give Up the Fight, Ava is dealing with not being appreciated at track.
