Hi Professor Coco, I was getting ready to submit my assignment 3b when I noticed that we need to put it in 15 min block incriments. While a couple of the events I put down are 15 minutes, majority of my days are spent doing things in big block times. I was curious how I should put this down on assignment. Thank you. Regards, Chris
World War I began in August of 1914 and continued for over a span of four years. For nearly three of those years the United States managed to stay out of the conflict because many Americans believed in the U.S. policy of isolationism and keeping out of foreign or European affairs. However, Germany’s unrestricted submarine warfare and the Zimmerman Note ultimately saw the United States enter in their first world war. Entering into war was not favorable to many Americans who saw neutrality as their best bet during war time. Woodrow Wilson, president at the time, saw a need to get American behind the war effort and to see and end of anti-war efforts. These efforts would ultimately see a drastic change in the previously held American
1. According to the article, why do the authors think that traditional litigation methods have not been wholly successful in California?
Do you know how our country’s Presidential election system (The Electoral College) works? For many years I didn’t know much about the Electoral College, except that they were the system that elected the president. So join me as we discover the aspects of the Electoral College. Our founding fathers created a special election system called the Electoral College to elect the Presidents of America. The Electoral College’s Function, the reasoning behind its creation, its mathematics, and how those mathematics impact campaigns are extremely fascinating.
The public is always free to make independent choices regarding what goods and services to purchase or what businesses and causes to support. Both sales messages and persuasive requests are intended to influence the behavior of a targeted audience. The main difference is that the sales message persuades by convincing the prospect that it is in his or her interest to buy. A persuasive message does this as well, but it usually attempts a broader appeal to other kinds of motivations such as personal interests, altruistic feelings, humanitarian efforts or the desire for personal profit or gain. Both tangible and intangible benefits are stressed in both sales messages and persuasive requests.
I fell in love with writing because it was my happy place. It was a place where I could never be judged for things that I wanted to say and how I wanted to say them. Times when I would be judged on my writing is when it’s a graded essay and those graded essays used to burn my pride and soul; I never failed them, but the teachers always had to point out my mistakes sometimes it would anger me. But, I concluded that being a writer is never easy and the only way to get better at it was to soak in as much information I could so, I wouldn’t make those same mistakes
The hobby I am most proud of right now is writing. I am excited about writing because I can put my ideas down onto paper, and share them in many ways. My love for musicals has compelled me to write musicals myself. Being able to read and write music from playing the clarinet, has helped me compose the songs. The first musical I have written is titled ‘Toaster’. Toaster is about a person who in trying to fix their old toaster, ends up getting the newest toaster, then realizing he has made a big mistake. I am also working on another play called ‘Holiday’ which is about the ups and downs of each holidays throughout the year.
As a writer, I have learned that when I’m not comfortable with an assignment, I become apprehensive about doing it. I feel like this because I don’t have confidence that I’m doing a writing assignment correctly. But, as I do things in stages and receive feedback, such as we have been doing with this writing assignment, I tend to have more confidence about writing.
Jordan Rosenfeld wrote, “Perfectionism instills fears that you will never live up to a standard set in your mind or one that’s been set for you by others.” This quote accurately describes my relationship with writing. A significant part of my fears and apprehensions about writing relate to creating that perfect paper. I consume too much time judging if what I have written is good enough for the reader, as well as for myself based on my standards. It is important that I recognize how the value in expressing my ideas in writing could potentially influence others viewpoints. Thus, awarding me the ability to create something I can admire as well. While I have no difficulty in the writing required in my career, ultimately the goal is to become

Subject matter knowledge, writing process knowledge, and rhetorical knowledge are three key factors to know while writing.
Writing to me has changed over the years as I experience more as I grow up. From thinking that writing is dull to believing writing is expressive and vibrant. From the learning toddler to the naive twelve year-old to the seventeen year-old scholar. I have many great and horrible experiences in writing which led to the writer I am today.
Writing is fundamental. It is a great aspect of life. Though not everyone is fond of writing and if they are that’s good for them. If you were to ask me to write a paper I guarantee you it won’t get done and if it does it’s not good. As you can tell I don’t have a passion for writing and unfortunately for me, it’s required to write a long essay for school English courses. Now you can imagine how difficult that must be for me if you’re in the same boat as I am. Atop taking an eight-week writing course bloody hell did I have some long rough sleepless nights and oh yes, I did want to cry and say freak this as well as give up. However, throughout this eight-week course I learn so much about my writing and have gained a better comprehension of
Since the beginning of time, I’ve always hated anything that had to do with writing or reading. Writing to me was always a chore, something that I had to do or else I would fail my classes. To add on, writing wasn’t exactly my forte, I was honestly horrendous at writing. You could give me a whole week to do a book report and I still wouldn’t be able to get it right on my 5th try. Even today, I still despise writing, the thought of not knowing what to write always lingered alongside me. I would often find myself sitting alone in my small room, listening to music and not knowing what to write; I would begin typing out a few sentences, then ultimately backspacing every word because it may not be “ good enough”. This whole typing and
As long as I can remember, writing has been a huge aspect of my life. When I write, my mood is positively affected and I am able to collect all my thoughts. I was inspired by my mother to write, and that has influenced how much passion I put into my work. Writing has been a calming experience that enables me to understand my thoughts. I have used writing to communicate and connect with others. It has helped me to create strong relationships because other people can truly understand who I am when they read what I have written. Writing was introduced to me at a young age, and it has guided me to embrace the person I am today.
To some students writing come easy to them, but for some it is a different story. Being able to write a sufficient paper us essential if a student wants to succeed in college and in life. Most high schools across the country do not require students to pass a writing test in order to graduate. There are students that squeak by in high school, and somehow make it to college with bad writing habits. Students that can not write will get to college, and realize that they need help with their writing. High schools should focus on teaching their students proper writing techniques, and make sure that every student is fully understanding it before moving onto college. Furthermore schools should require every student to pass a writing sufficiency test to assure that their students will be ready for college.
A lot of people have something that comes easily to them. Everyone has a passion for something. And everyone has something that they believe in. We are all someone. Who are we? Who am I?
