One of the most important skills that everyone should have, but isn't taught in school, is how to manage your
The one skill that I improved on that will really help me in the future is public speaking apprehension. With me wanting to do something with business, there is a really good chance that I will have to present in front of CEO’s and it is important not to be nervous. Doing the speeches in class, really helped me. At first, I would start off the speech good and then realize that I am presenting and start messing up and getting nervous during the speeches. Then I remember presenting the persuasive speech and the way I presented it had a better flow and I was not too nervous so I even volunteer to go first the day I had to present. The more speeches we presented, the better I knew how to control my body and how to calm it down. All because I took Leila’s class.
There are many skills on this lesson that I learned from but also reviewed over. Out of all of this skills the best one I'm good at is probably being an active listener. Im good at this skill because when someone needs someone to talk to I will always be someone who will listen to what they have to say. I can sit down and give them my full attention without getting distracted. Although I am a good listener I dont always give the best advice or dont always have the best thing to say back but, I try to help them out with what I can do.

Planning and organizing skills, I enjoy figuring out what is required in getting a job done and working out how and when it can be done. This can be seen in how I develop a personal study timetable and managing time around work and studies.

I think the most important skill that a college level student needs is discipline. How many movies have we watched that have college students partying their college years away and then regretting it in the end. A disciplined person can make the most out of a college education. With the rising cost of a college education we need to make the most out of the time we have. The average cost in 2004-2005 of a four year private schools is $20,082 (up 6% from last year) and the average cost of a four year public school is $5,132 (up 10.5% from last year), (2004-2005 College Costs, http://www.collegeboard.com/article/0,3868,6-29-0-4494,00.html). With the rising costs of education a person needs to be disciplined to make the most out of it. All these skills, time management, critical thinking, and discipline are keys to success in college. I began my college education in 1991 and these skills are probably the three that I use the most. Time management is a skill that I have been trying to master since I began my college education. I not only need and utilize this skill for college but for my civilian job. I think being a college student has made me better at managing my time but I find I still struggle. Discipline plays a key role in time management, or at least for me it does. When I make daily lists of things to accomplish I lack the discipline to go back at the end of the day to check off things that I did accomplish.
From the SuccessNavagator on the skill that I score the highest on was organization. I believe that I source high on organization was because I always write a to-do list of what homework I need to do and when I need to do it. I usually try to finish the homework three days in advance. I believe that this skill will help me reach my long-term education goal by keeping me on track and focus on the final goal.
Another skill I bring is enthusiasm. Having someone who is enthusiastic and generally excited to be doing what they are doing can change any situation. Some small examples of this a lot of people can relate to is having a teacher that you can tell loves what they are teaching and interacting with their students. I know classes I’ve had with those teachers I loved going to and I interacted a lot more than I would in some of my dull
Once accepted into college, I aim to study political science and then go on to law school once I achieve my bachelors degree. I
One of the most important self-management skills involves controlling and budgeting your time. For instance, one important skill to obtain for success would be common sense. The reasoning for this is that common sense is usually what many people tend to lack. Common sense is containing a fine sense and sound of judgment in practical matters. This skill is significant because one needs to be able to complete things efficiently in simple matters, as well this essentially links to being logical. These two elements are intertwined with each other because in order to have a robust chance of achieving success, one needs to be able to deliberate and visualize
One of the skills I have learned is time management. While at a competition I have to make sure that all of my school work gets done, and how long it's going to take. For example, one year I had to do a science project over the Eastern Synchronized Skating Championships, and had to work during breaks, and any extra time I could find to make sure I got it done and used my time wisely. At home I can't let skating get in the way of school, homework still must be done even
