ME: Is being a good team player important to you?
HIM: I believe being a team player involves acting in the best interest of the company, while maintaining a stake in your own best interest and career. But in the fast-paced world of Information Technology and Managed Services being a team player is crucial for many reasons. To me, being a team player is important because it creates synergy where the sum is ultimately greater than the parts, and this helps to support a more empowered way of working, removing constraints which may prevent someone doing their job properly. For my company this has also helped to promote flatter and leaner structure, with less hierarchy.

I was fortunate to have some great coaches throughout my time in college who bestowed some great leadership traits upon me, as well as taught me what being a true team player meant. That self-sacrifice for the betterment of the team was also the more noble choice above selfishness. But ultimately my Parents are the reason I am who I am today. They taught me about hard work and determination from an early age which lead me into the life that has taught me the virtues of teamwork and into a rather prosperous life overall. So, I would have to say my Parents were and still are the greatest impact on me being a good team player.
ME: I feel the same way about my parents, and baseball was my sport so I understand what you mean about being backed by good coaching staffs. All that being said, how important do you feel being a good team player is on your

Once we got the company rolling and started taking on clients my friend quickly realized that his overhead was much more than he had intended for it to be this early on. And ultimately if we didn’t start taking on revenue quickly the boat was going to sink at harbor so to speak. To help with this I offered to work for a stake in the company and cut my normal salary down to almost nothing until we got the company back above water. This enabled him to bring on some lower level employees to help with the day to day operations and let us focus on building the business further and gathering more clientele. We took the company from a 150k startup to a little over 5 million in yearly revenue in a little over 3 years. But my sacrifice for the team which caused me tons of headaches and months of living on a budget ultimately payed me out very nicely when we were acquired in our fourth year of operations by the company You and I both work for
There are many benefits of being on a team. It is very beneficial to you and your team mates. Being a team player helps you accomplish things you never could have done alone.
Throughout my life, I have thought of myself to be a dedicated team player. For instance, I am always engaged in group activities and find satisfaction from succeeding with the team. As a team player, I am committed and reliable to completing every assignment on time and to the needs of the group. I love sharing ideas with others as well as I love hearing the opinions others. Collaborating with a team has helped develop my passion for helping others succeed and surpass their goals. I believe I am an effective team player because I motivate my teammates around me to do better. Additionally, being a team player has encouraged me to participate in extracurricular activities and will help me excel in the future.
My coach was a big influence in my life because, he chose to be different and not follow down a bad path, that taught me that it's ok to be different and you don't have to be a follower. I am a little like him because he joined a circus (he became a acrobat) instead of following the bad path his friends went down, I joined acrobats so it can help me stay on track. If i didn't join i could of went down the bad path other people were going
I think what has influenced me the most has been my decision to play football. I joined the team at a time that most would not. Our high school football team had not been doing well and had also undergone multiple coaching changes in a short period of time. I made the decision to join the team to do what I could to improve our program.
Baseball has always been a passion of mine. I remember when I was younger I would eat, sleep, and breathe baseball. I enjoyed the lifestyle that I adapted as a ballplayer. As a shortstop, I was the captian of the infield. The field and the infielders were my responsibility, and I had to make sure everything was in line. Whether it was calling off a pop fly in the infield, reading the runnners to determine if they were going to steal, or calling for a pickoff move, it was always my responsibility to make the right decisions. However, the coaches always made an effort to show that what what you do off the field is what truly matters. They taught me that being a good person and helping others is more important than turning a double play for the
Luis A. Almeida 2015-A Team Player One trait of effective leadership is the ability to work with others. An effective leader knows that he cannot do everything alone, therefore he gathers other people and forms a team. It is easy to argue that the role of a leader is to lead and that of a team player is to follow. However, effective leadership is a superior type of virtue because an effective leader is also a member of the team. In fact, this type of leader offers his expertise, focus, commitment, dedication and motivation needed to orient the team towards its goal.
During my younger years of playing softball, my parents coached one of the teams I played on. From past experiences of having teammates with parents as my coach, it became a nuisance because they could goof around and got to start every game no matter their talent. The year my parents were my coaches was the most miserable year of my softball career. They would constantly rag on me about errors I would make which resulted in having to run continuous laps while my other teammates got to continue practice and improve their softball skills. However, practice was not even the worse of it; during games my parents would hound on me to the point where I would be crying on the mound of embarrassment. When I am supposed to be having fun and playing
“A team is not a bunch of people with job titles, but a congregation of individuals, each of whom has a role which is understood by other members.

As a team player is where I work best and I regardless of role titles I see everyone as an equal, and everyone approachable; it is only the job titles alone that set us apart. It is important to build strong working relationships in order to thrive and develop as individuals and as a team; additionally it enables a vibrant working dynamic in which you can challenge, question and change working practices.
A team player can be associated to any type of profession a person participates. The dictionary defines team players as a number of people associated together in work or activity. Team players are the type of people with a tremendous personality who contribute and motivate themselves in many areas. They include the military, sports, work, and families. However, there are a few things team players are not. Let us explore these aspects closer.
Teamwork is defined in Webster's New World Dictionary as "a joint action by a group of people, in which each person subordinates his or her individual interests and opinions to the unity and efficiency of the group." This does not mean that the individual is no longer important; however, it does mean that effective and efficient teamwork goes beyond individual accomplishments. The most effective teamwork is produced when all the individuals involved harmonize their contributions and work towards a common goal.
In life you have many people who influence you. Some aare good influences and some are bad influences. Although, the one person who influenced my life most would have to be my father. My father sacrificed alot in his lifetime to make his children's lives better. I adore my father he is a strong confident man and loves his family unconditionally. I have become the person I am today because of my father.
I can personally say being a part of athletics really changed my life and the lives of personal friends around me. I learned how to work with people to achieve a common goal and be on top at the end of the day. I know people whose lives have been completely changed for the best because of athletics and the benefits of having a coach and a group of brothers and sisters. I know a long list of friends who became the first people in their families to attend a university due to the scholarships offered by schools through athletics. I know people who lost parents at a young age and had an inspirational coach completely change their lives and be there for them when times were rough. Coaches can easily play the role of parents or second parents because they can
It is easy to say that a parent has had the most influence on your life, they taught you how to walk, talk, drink and among many other things hopefully right from wrong. A good parent is there for you most of your life, quick to lend a hand or offer advice (unless it’s your mother-in-law) when needed, but the trait that impacted my life the most was the integrity my father exhibited with me and the people lucky enough to have met him.
