In recent years, Genetically Modified Organics (GMO 's) have shown up in our supermarkets at and increasingly alarming rate. From vegetables to fish, every type of organic is at risk of GMO modification, but what effects will these GMO 's have on the human body? Although research is still ongoing, multiple sources have determined that GMO 's are in fact harmful to the human body, and not in just one way. Furthermore, because of the negative health impacts, "a number of countries have completely banned GMO 's and the pesticides that go along with them, and they are doing so for a reason. It is not clear what sort of risk the possibility of conferring antibiotic resistance to bacteria presents. No one has ever observed bacteria incorporating new DNA from the digestive system under controlled laboratory conditions" (Enhs). One will have to decide for themselves if the risk of unknown effects is worth
