The aim of strategic orientated HRM is the creation of competition advantages by integrated measures in the areas of selection, use, cooperation, remuneration systems, education and further education as well as the motivation of the executives and employees. An HR strategy will state the intentions of the enterprise about hoe it should manage its human resources. These states provide the basis for plans, developments and programmes for managing change. The aim of this SHRM is to guarantee that the culture, structure and style of the organisation, commitment, quality and motivation of its employees contribute fully to the achievement of business objectives (Armstrong, 1992, p. 47).

Boxall and Purcell states that strategic HRM is concerned with explaining how HRM influences organisational performance. They also point out that strategy is not the same as strategic plans. Strategic planning is the formal process that takes place, usually in larger organisations even though it may not be written down and articulated. It defines the organisation’s behaviour and how it tries to cope with its environment (Boxall and Purcell, 2008).
