Change is normally seen as a positive or negative thing in life such as an addition to the family, or a drastic change of lifestyle after a natural disaster. Changes were a common thing during the Industrial Revolution which affected all types of people, the wealthiest, who were entrepreneurs or aristocrats, the working class, who were mostly factory workers, and the in-between, known as the middle class, who were business owners, shopkeepers, doctors, etc.. Although the ripples of change had come across every class, it was directed mostly towards the working class. Urbanization did not happen over a long period of time, because of this, families were forced to live together in small places because of the dense populations in the cities. Poor health conditions became a product of this process. There was no sewage maintenance during the time of the Industrial Revolution; this would contribute to a substantial amount of people who encountered diseases such as cholera and typhoid, and resulted in a very low life expectancy. For other women, the industrial revolution had robbed them of a good life and had mentally and physically exhausted them. Before the Industrial Revolution, women played a large role in providing goods and being parents for their children. The women and children worked together as a unit of production, they would tend the fire, make clothing, take care of the crops, while the men could earn money that would support the entire family. It was also common for women to take care of the home and the family since they had no economic role at the time, however, that soon changed. At the beginning of work, it was typical for the men to work in the factories but that soon changed once they realized that the men could not make enough to support the family so women would chip in, working on an average of 10 to 14 hours a
