The resources I chose to help people with workplace training was Canada Social Development Services and Canoshweb. Canada Social Services help inform citizens about workplace safety and tells them what they are allowed to do, depending on the problem. It also informs the user about the rights they have and what they can do to get some help if any of these are being violated. It also lets the worker know what they can say if any of their worker rights are being violated, furthermore this website expands on your rights, and what is safe to do and what is not safe to do and how you can tell if it is safe or not. Also it lets the user know what their duty as a worker is and what they can or cannot do.

In fact, that is not the only thing from this course that has helped me develop my professional skills before I graduate and join the workforce. Having a project from industry sponsors like TAMU Transportation Services and the Texas A&M Transportation Institute has given me real life experience interacting with industry members and other engineers in a professional setting. From bi-weekly meetings with the sponsors to the simple email interactions have all given me precious insight on what I can expect in my future

a) The training on sexual harassment within the workplace is intended to increase awareness on the issue, and to provide instructions on how to prevent such events from taking place. The importance of anti sexual harassment methods is of great importance to companies with large numbers of employees where such issues tend to be more frequent. This training is also intended to help harassed employees know what to do when confronted with such issues.
The structure of the programme is designed to enable delegates to participate actively in the various sessions and to this end group discussions and exercises form a large part of the course. All work is undertaken in groups including the presentation of real work situations to the course team. Individual and group activity is used to enhance the learning following an introduction to each topic by the presenter and the course is conducted in an informal, stimulating and supportive atmosphere.
The whole experience of my on-the-job training at NIA-UPRIIS Div III and facing issues that need to be addressed was quite memorable. I learnt a lot from my trainer, Loralie Hazel Mapoy. She was the secretary of NIA Div III manager, I was her trainee for about 7 weeks and my experience being beside her seat was indeed helps a lot building up my confident on how will I face my future job. One of the most important things I’ve learned is that talent alone is not enough. It is important, but it is no guarantee of success. One must also be hardworking and should practice self-discipline. Sacrifice is important, too. I have lots of memorable experiences.
