Industry Analysis Apple Inc. is a multinational corporation that designs, develops, and sells electronics, computer software, online services, and computers. Apple designs, manufactures, and markets mobile communication and media devices. Apple has created computers, laptops, phones, music devices, tablets, media players. These products are known as; iPhone, iPad, iPod, iTunes, MacBook, iHome, etc. Their software applications are iOS and OS X operating systems. They also have online services that include iCloud, iTunes, and the Apple store. The iPhone is a handheld mobile device. Apple Inc. was created and developed by Steve Wozniak and Steve Jobs on April 1, 1976 in Cupertino, California. These two men created their first computer machine and sold their first one that year. Then came the Apple 2, then Apple 3, and so on until today when they now have both desktops and laptop computers. As of September 28, 2013, Apple Inc. had about 80,300 full-time employees and 41,000 temporary employees and contractors. Apple Inc. is highly competitive and always upgrading to new products, software’s, devices, etc. Other competitors have cut prices and lowered their products to gain a higher market share in order to stay competitive with Apple. Apple’s factors are price, product, features, price/performance, product quality, reliability, design innovation, marketing and distributing capability, support, and corporate reputation. Apple wants to continue to develop and offer new products and services to stay competitive. Apple Inc. is made up with almost a dozen officers. Tim Cook is the CEO who runs the company today. There are nine Senior Vice Presidents. Angela Ahrendts, Eddy Cue, Craig Federighi, Jonathan Ive, Luca Maestri, Dan Riccio, Philip Schiller, Bruce Sewell, and Jeff Williams.
