In the society we live in today, our thought processes are different than what they were a decade or two ago. We live in the cinematic age as they call it, and in this time it is quite difficult to have positive influences as the world faces destruction, neglect, and hatred. As a little boy not understanding the world, I would have assumed that most people were somewhat influential. However, as I aged into the young man I am today, I understand that being influential person takes a certain individual. An individual who has the moral code of willingness to help others effectively while asking for nothing in return but their happiness. Besides my parents and some family members I can simply say with all that is occurring in our time, there is not one person I can truly admire today. Six centuries before christ, there was a figure that sought out to find a deeper meaning in …show more content…
This figure showed that there is more to life than just affluences. In the modern culture we are surrounded by today, there are a few people who are inspirations to others, such as Bill Gates, Taylor Swift, Emma Watson, Warren Buffett, and a few others. These individuals dedicated their life into accomplishing what they have today. However, although these individuals are certainly an inspiration to the next generation of kids, I find that they do not posses all the qualities of trying to build a better future. As a little boy my grandparents would always talk to me about a certain individual who has influenced their lives. Maybe not as a child, but as I got older I started to understand why my grandparents would always talk about Siddhartha Gautama. According to Biographyonline.net, Siddhartha was brought to this world
Mahatma Gandhi, the most humble man to walk the earth, once said ““Your beliefs become your thoughts, Your thoughts become your words, Your words become your actions, Your actions become your habits, Your habits become your values, Your values become your destiny.” When you see how he changed the world, Gandhi serves a role model for many. What I do with my life, becomes the future of the world. It does not just influence myself, but those around me for generations to come.
Many people have changed this world for the best. They try their hardest and never gave up, no matter how many people didn’t believe they could do it. Some people have ideas and opinions, but if you listen you might just agree.
Chris Garner risked everything because he trusted that his perseverance and determination would make him successful. Chris, with no money, took an unpaid internship to learn the job of a broker. At the end of this program, there was no guarantee for a job. Taking an unpaid internship gave Chris hard times. His wife left him and he became homeless. Chris had to fight to make sure he kept his son. With this happening, Chris never complained or let anyone at his work know about his hardships. Chris used these hardships to drive him to become successful. Chris dedicated himself to work harder than anyone else. At work, Chris would not even drink water, so it would save him time from going to the bathroom. On the weekends, Chris sold the remaining
The first person whom I admire is Charles V. Charles V had everything a worldly person would want; power, riches, fame, etc. Yet, with all this power and wealth, he managed to stay detached from them and desired to be rid of them. He lived a good, Christian life, and ruled his country well until his old age. Then, wishing to retire in peace, to rid himself of the world and therefore to become closer to God, he left every power, every ounce of wealth, and sought refuge in a monestary. There is something very heroic in this, especially in today's world, when riches are considered the only thing of worth. Money can buy power, but not happiness or peace. It takes a good man to live up to those words, however, and Charles V succeeded in doing so.
There are many influential entrepreneurs that helped shape the world of today. I say, one that stands out is Henry Ford. He was one of the few men to make mainstream automobiles a reality. The automobile industry has surely come a long way since it once started. Nowadays, seems like people cannot travel without transportation. Thanks to the innovation of automobiles and Henry Ford, we have advanced in the world. When we look outside, we see the many types of cars driven, and one car company that started it all, Ford. Of course being named after one of the most famous and significant inventors in the automobile industry.

Influential people are individuals who inspire many people to do your best, or worst. These people can be athletes, politics, or any song creator. First off, "A successful competition for me is always going out there and putting 100 percent into whatever I'm doing," Said Simone Biles. So, Simone is an extremely influential young lady because this girl never minds whether she is the best or not Simone mostly cares that she is putting in her best foot and going out there and just enjoying herself. Next, "I don't run away from the challenge because I'm afraid. Instead, I run toward it because the only way to escape fear is trample it beneath your feet." Now, that quote from Nadia Comaneci shows she is influential because this woman respects fear but chooses not to avoid it but to conquer it. Third, Nadia thinks that nothing should be able to get in your way if everyone is just fearless and brave. Last Jenny Simpson said, "You have to remember that no athlete at any level- whether that is a high schooler or an Olympian- figured it out overnight and you are not going to be the exception." In this quote, Jenny explains that no talent will happen overnight which in influential because she know that people need to work at something to achieve it. Overall, these three influential people inspire to
A word is simply a element of speech and writing. People use words in many different ways, for instance; conversation, announcements, reassurance, disruption, and inspiration. The power that a word has is up to the person who says it. Some of the most powerful people in the world are also some of the best speakers. Barack Obama, Martin Luther King Jr., Gandhi, Adolf Hitler, and Steve Jobs are very different people who have one thing in common, they know how to use their words to make a change. In a time of need, a good speech is what could be a turning point for a movement.
It is important for teachers to know about learning theories and influential theorists as it adds to the quality of their teaching and contributes to their ability to cater to the individual needs of the children within their classroom. According to Woolfolk & Margetts (2013) the quality of teaching can make a difference to children’s lives therefore it is imperative that teachers develop their pedagogical knowledge of learning theories and influential theorists so they can become an effective teacher. Each child is influence by socio-cultural factors and will have their own way of learning. A teacher with an understanding of learning theories and influential theorists is likely to guide their teaching methods to cater to the children’s individual
I admire those famous people in history that used their entire life serving people and making the world a better place. Those that we had the opportunity of knowing because their lives were showcased to the world. Some that come to mind are Martin Luther King Jr. and Mother Theresa and there are countless more, many more.
When asked who was the most influential person in my life without any hesitation I knew it was my father. My father has impacted my life greatly and has helped me become the person I am today. He has helped me in many ways; he pushes me to be the best, he is always there for me, and he possesses good qualities that I try to obtain.
Have you ever met a very influential person that everyone has a different opinion on? Robert Strange McNamara was the secretary of Defense under John F. Kennedy and Lyndon B. Johnson throughout the 1960s. This was the time period when the United States was involved in the Vietnam War as well and the Cold War against the Soviet Union. In addition, McNamara was hired by the head of the Ford automobile company to help revamp their company. In late 1960, McNamara became the president of the entire Ford company. After this, McNamara served as president of the World Bank from 1968-1981. He greatly impacted the Cold War as well as the Vietnam War. Robert McNamara helped create peace during the Cold War because he favored a blockade on Cuba rather
The being of who has influenced the many people in this world, is Jesus Christ. With over 2 billion followers, Jesus Christ and his name is connected with the devotional feelings of two hundred millions of the race of mankind. Christianity also has played an influential role in history. It has developed out of Judaism. Christianity was founded by Jesus Christ, considered the Son of God by the Christian denominations. Christians can trace their founding date within a year or so to the crucifixion of Jesus and his resurrection in about the year 30 AD (ReligionFacts). What is Christianity? How did it spread? Who is Jesus? What happened to him?
Throughout history, there have been many influential leaders who have affected the world in many ways. Some are remembered as horrible dictators, while others are thought of as people who benefitted society immensely. One of those very important leaders shaped her country into what it is today. Queen Elizabeth I, the final ruler of Tudor, was honored by thousands during her reign as queen. Although Elizabeth of England faced a lot of prejudice throughout her lifetime, she still gained a good reputation among her people by handling the country well and did her best to fix its problems, for there was nothing she loved more than “her England”.
Over time, there have been several people who have influenced various aspects of my life, based on their personal characteristics, accomplishments, and values. I have been privileged to have had numerous teachers and professors who I respect for their patience and intelligence. There are artists that have inspired me by their natural talents and original creativity. I value many political leaders, who have inspired me by their contributions to society, and their ability to change our futures. Of all the people I have encountered in my life, the person I admire most is my father.
