Hello Dr. Gerhard, Recently you challenged Lisa and me with the task of increasing the number of families that have completed the Info-snap process. Although there is definitely a friendly but high level of competitiveness between us, we have developed a habit of addressing building needs together in a more team oriented approach. Although we each think we would have won the challenge, we recognize that we are a power house when we work together and although it was very tempting to compete we knew that we would come up with the best solutions if we shared our ideas. That being said, below you will note the ideas that we have come up with. We categorized them into ideas that we can implement immediately and ideas that we may want to consider for next year’s Info-snap roll out. Let us know if you have any suggestions to add and/or comments that would improve th entire process. We also cc’d Melissa Fullerton in the hopes that she …show more content…
(I think this may already be in place.) - We can create grade level competitions and have positive reinforces for the grade level that completes the process or has the most people signed up by a certain due date. - The buildings Principal can make a school wide connect-ed call in early August as a reminder to complete Info-snap. He could reinforce some of the incentives, present how it is going to be used, and the importance of the District having that information on file (i.e. emergencies, allows parents the access to check grades, it’s how we communicate with them about attendance, etc.) - Do whatever we can to send the information out sooner. As a resident of the District I did not receive my Info snap information until around August 12th. That was less than 5 business days from when you asked us to work on increasing the completion rate. Many families may have still been on vacation,
We could start by taking a vote on trying out year-round schooling. Year-round schooling is becoming more popular in the United States, and according to Hanover Research “Year-round schedules do not add days of instruction to the approximated 180 days typical in a traditional school year. Most year-round schedules simply group the instructional days into smaller units with more frequent breaks throughout the year.” This could help more advanced kids move up more efficiently as well as making the teachers happier, which will make the students happier. It would also help with the dreaded brain drain or summer slide. Year-round schooling has many benefits for our school which is why I feel that we should make the

You have a strong understanding of the purpose and needs of our project; every suggestion of yours has been carefully considered, and proves that you are listening and expanding on other team member’s ideas. Your suggestion of a tagline for our app was especially creative.
Mass incarceration, particularly the disproportionate number of African Americans in prison, remains an issue that is both altogether settled, but at the same time unresolved. There still exists a pervasive idea that many people of color tend to be trouble makers, and thus are directly responsible for their own mass incarceration; however, this theory creates more questions than it answers. Furthermore, it does not address why mass incarceration continues even after it has been recognized as a serious socio-economical issue for several decades. Filmmaker Ava DuVernay proposes in her documentary titled "13th", that the mass incarceration of African Americans, as well as their frequent depiction as criminals, finds its roots in a thirteenth
The stakeholders involved will be the principal and teachers. The principal has access to student grade and has the capability of assigning Core to students due to poor grades. The teachers need to communicate concern and/or progress of students. For example, if a math teacher has a student who just needs to make up some work, but doesn’t need actual tutoring, the math teacher has the responsibility of communicating that with the principal so the student can be placed with a non-math teacher. Clear communication is paramount to the success of this plan. Teachers must check their email regularly and respond accordingly.
As the political landscape in the United States continues to include increasing levels of immigration reform and border security rhetoric, an understanding of current capabilities and operations becomes a vital component when forming an educated opinion. Army National Guard soldiers and aircraft provide a crucial layer of border security, employing the UH-72A Lakota helicopter equipped with technology designed to assist law enforcement agencies in drug interdiction and undocumented immigrant apprehension. Shortfalls in United States Customs and Border Protection (CBP) capabilities opened the door for military involvement to stem the influx of illegal immigrants, as well as slowing human and drug trafficking (Lawson, 2012). Today, the UH-72A

AW: Speaking of the new project: when we told our viewers that we would be speaking with you many of the fans BEGGED us to get more details on an upcoming rock project. They want to know basically anything you can throw at us. Do you have a release timeframe in mind? A single in the works? Is there anything about that project you could tell us that you’re excited to speak about?
Also, I constantly solicited feedback from my colleagues during the planning and execution. In the beginning of the year a lot of the feedback I solicited was around content, because about 20 of my CMs tracking subjects were absolutely foreign to me. Once, I gained knowledge and confidence with the content, I began to solicit feedback around my leadership/identity development. These were probably some of the most uncomfortable learning experiences, but it pushed me to be vulnerable and authentic. Furthermore, when I transitioned to ChaKia’s team she motivated me to solicit input from my CMs and colleagues to interrogate reality and address challenges. This push for input was a game-changer, especially when I sat down with American Way corps members and opened up the floor for them to give me feedback. Jenny Simpson’s feedback convicted
What are some ideas and actions you plan to incorporate into the program next year to make it successful and positive?
I am sure that everyone of you have heard about aliens and UFOs. Indeed, we all have heard about the famous case of aliens and UFOs in Roswell, New Mexico. Most people might be interested in the topic of aliens, but I know that the majority of you just think of it as rumours and the existence of them are impossible. Therefore, I am standing here in front all of you to make you change your perspective. I am strongly confident that I have found the evidence of their real existence to convince all of you.
The first subject we should try is to up our school’s PE programs. In the internet article Active Education, they state 3.8% of elementary schools have daily PE for their students (G.
For example, using a leftover coffee can for loose nails or screws, or even washing and reusing a plastic zip-loc bag instead of throwing it in the garbage. Thrift shopping is a way of reusing someone else’s unwanted goods. As I spoke about in an earlier speech about thrifting, I included many locations and ways to thrift, also the benefits to the shopper and the donator. One place in particular was shopping at the local boys and girls club. I personally shop there, keeping my eyes open for a good deal. For example, the pair of jeans that I am wearing today was purchased from this store just a few months ago. I paid only $8.00 for this pair of Lucky Jeans and according to buckle.com, a retailer for lucky jeans the retail price is $99.00 that is a savings to me of $91.00.I am not the type to worry about name brands, but quality usually does cost more. If I can get a quality pair of jeans at a fraction on the price, I am glad to shop at the thrift store. I am thankful to the person that made the donation of the lucky jeans and they can benefit from that donation. According to the IRS webpage, IRS. Gov it explains that an individual can donate items like clothing, household furniture and furnishings, a car or boat, even taxidermy. The donations are appraised, by the donator, and recorded. At the time of filing taxes if the donation equals at least $500 for the year, the donator may take advantage of the
Another victory for our group was our attendance. For the timing of the event being on campus on Friday midday, we were able to pull a small group of an attentive audience. Those that were there were engaged and in reviews, said they had found the information very useful to their lives perusing communication. Panelists as well
Africa has been impacted many ways throughout history such as the struggles of the slave trade, independence from colonialism, economic and political development. The colonization of Africa played many roles when it came to the impact of Africans. Erik Gilbert, Jonathan Reynolds, A. Adu Boahen have addressed the impact and issues of Africa in books such as Africa in World History and African Perspectives on European Colonialism. The Scramble for Africa became such a big deal because there were many individuals involved such as Spain, Britain, Belgium, Italy, France, Europeans, Portugal, and Germany coming into Africa marking their territory in different countries throughout Africa. African societies were impact through many ways when it came to economic, social, and political structures. According to Boahen, the scramble for Africa was attributed of a “combination of internal African conditions and external Europeans factors” (28). These problems arise after the Transatlantic Slave trade because in many part of Africa the trading of slaves was a huge part of their economy. In addition, for the Europeans they had a problem of not having the available resource unlike Africans after the abolition of slave trading to moving to trading natural and raw material. Europeans wanted and needed more power; However, the struggle to obtain their goal in Europe.
